You’re Closer to Breakthrough Than You Think — Stay the Course

Share

One of the things that amazes me about God is the way He meets each of us differently. No two walks with God look the same. Every believer has their own story, their own moment when grace first broke through.

I often think back to the season when I first opened my heart to God. I was only about twelve years old, yet life already felt heavy. I did not have the language for everything I was carrying, but I knew I needed God. And even when I wandered or lost focus over the years, those early encounters kept calling me back. God has a way of reaching for us long before we know how to reach for Him.

You will have moments in your life where things feel unclear, where doubt makes you question yourself, where your spirit feels unsettled. Those moments are not signs that God has abandoned you. They are invitations. Opportunities to lean in, to listen, to draw closer.

The enemy wants you to believe God has stepped away. But Scripture reminds us of the truth: “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him.” (Revelation 3:20)

All God needs is an opening. A willing heart. A quiet yes. When you make even the smallest space for Him, His grace does the rest.

Here is a prayer for the times when you long to reconnect with God:

“Father, I know You are near even when I do not feel it. Strengthen my faith when doubt rises. Quiet my spirit when I feel far from You. I open my heart again, asking You to dwell in me and guide me. Renew my desire for Your presence. In Jesus name, Amen.”

Never forget this: God cares about you deeply, and His presence is always close.

Scripture for Meditation

"For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known." (1 Corinthians 13:12, KJV) Beloved, your unclear moments are not permanent. God sees the whole picture even when you can only see a fragment. Trust that He is working in the parts you cannot yet perceive.

"Therefore take no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself." (Matthew 6:34, KJV) Financial worry pulls you away from today's provision. When anxiety about tomorrow rises, return your mind to what God is doing right now—He has never failed to meet you in the present moment.

"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength: they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." (Isaiah 40:31, KJV) Family, staying the course in faith is not passive—it is active waiting. Your breakthrough is being prepared while you trust. God is renewing your strength for the finish line.

Walking It Out

First, identify one area of financial doubt troubling you right now—whether it is provision, debt, or uncertainty about the future. Write it down, then write beside it one specific way God has provided before. Remind yourself: He has never left you yet.

Second, set aside ten minutes today to sit quietly and listen. Not to pray your petition, but to hear. Open your Bible to one of the scriptures above and let God speak directly to your circumstance. Write down what comes to your heart.

Third, take one concrete step of faith with your finances today—whether that is paying down a small debt, giving an offering despite fear, or simply refusing to speak lack over your life. Action born from faith moves the needle.

A Prayer for You

Father, I thank You that my breakthrough is not dependent on my understanding, but on Your faithfulness. Forgive me for the times I have doubted Your provision and allowed fear to interrupt my peace. Right now, I choose to open my heart again—I quiet the noise of anxiety and I listen for Your still, small voice. Strengthen my resolve to stay the course, knowing that You are closer than I think. Guide my financial decisions with wisdom, and help me to trust You not just with my money, but with my whole future. In Jesus' name, Amen.
