Will Lift Up Mine Eyes Unto the Hills… From Whence Cometh My Help

Share

"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. Amen." (Psalm 121, KJV)

This week, I have received several prayer requests centered around family—healing, forgiveness, and restoration.

Wives praying for wayward husbands. Husbands asking God to restore their families. Children trying to find the strength to forgive parents who have hurt them. Family members carrying pain they don’t know how to release.

But the Word reminds us that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself.

No matter what has been said… No matter what has been done…

God is still able to restore what feels broken.

And in His time, and in His way— you will be healed.

Peace, ROHO Founder I want to share a testimony with you. If God can do it for someone else, God will do it for you.

Prayer Request Message (Received Tuesday Night at 11:50pm): ( "My husband is in strong need of prayer. He needs to be focused on us--his family. We have been married 11 years and I just don't know what to do. Pray that every stronghold would be released from my marriage so we can please God. Come against everything that is meant to destroy my family. Bind every wicked attack and send it back from where it came in Jesus Name. We been having so much drama and I just want peace. Pray for us to be together and for a Godly relationship to be restored with my family".

Testimony & Praise Report (Received Friday Morning at 7:05am) Good morning I just wanted to write this email as a testimony of God's miracles. Thank God for his blessings to me. I can see some positive change in my husband. I can feel that we are finally talking to each other again. I just thank God for deliverance from back-sliding. I can feel God, because I feel more positive about my marriage. It's a testimony, because I know this is a start of things getting better. Praise God. Thank you for your prayer!!!!

Scripture for Meditation

Proverbs 22:6 — "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Family restoration begins with speaking truth in love and planting seeds of faith that will bear fruit in God's perfect timing. Even when loved ones have strayed, the prayers you have planted will take root.

1 Peter 3:1-2 — "Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of you; While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear." Your faithful witness—your prayers, your consistency, your unwavering faith—speaks louder than words ever could. God uses the power of a praying family member to turn hearts that seem hardened.

Philippians 4:6-7 — "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." When you release your burden at the altar, God replaces anxiety with His peace—not because everything changes overnight, but because you are no longer carrying it alone.

Walking It Out

First, establish a prayer rhythm for your family member. Set a specific time each day—morning coffee, lunch break, or evening—to pray by name for the one who has drifted. Speak their name before God with specificity: pray for their focus, their heart, their return to wholeness. Consistency matters more than eloquence.

Second, examine your own heart for unforgiveness you may be holding. Before asking God to restore family relationships, ask Him to search your heart. Is there bitterness you have nursed? Write it down, then surrender it. Healing flows from the inside out.

Third, reach out with one act of love this week that requires vulnerability. Send a text, make a call, or extend an invitation without expecting immediate reciprocation. You are planting seeds; God controls the harvest. Sometimes one genuine gesture of love opens a door that years of frustration had locked.

A Prayer for You

Father God, I come before You today on behalf of families that are fractured, on behalf of hearts that feel hopeless and weary. I thank You that You are the God of restoration, the Keeper who never sleeps, who stands guard over our loved ones even when they have wandered far from home. Give us the grace to pray without ceasing, to love without keeping score, and to trust that Your mercy is working even in silence. Heal what is broken, redirect what is lost, and bind our families together with the unbreakable cord of Your love. In Jesus' name, Amen.
