Your Next Chapter Will Be Greater Than Your Last. Your Story Is not finsihed

When I was growing up in church, I remember there were all these Christian Cliches--"I'm too blessed to be stressed, Blessed and highly favored" "God is good all the time and all the time God is Good." But if you were honest today, there were times it didn't feel like God has been Good. If you were honest you will admit that you have been Blessed and Stressed. Because life is not a cliche, the ups and downs of life are challenging and I will be the first to tell you, You can know God and still be stressed out. That is why Joy is so important, the inner feeling of God's divine presence will keep your head held high when you feel like bowing out.

There was a time in my life when I entered a really difficult place. One problem after another, one disappointment after another, it felt like there was no hiding place. I was beginning to lose my joy and I will never forget. I walked by the bathroom mirror and I saw my reflection and God spoke to me at that moment and said--"REMIND YOURSELF WHO YOU ARE."

IF YOU FEEL AT YOUR WITS END AND THAT JOY IS LEAVING YOUR SOUL. I WANT YOU TO PRAY TODAY'S PRAYER, TO RECLAIM YOUR JOY.

Scripture for Meditation

Psalms 30:5 (KJV)"For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning." Beloved, your current season of heaviness is not permanent. The God who set the sun to rise will also restore the joy that feels distant today. Your night is temporary, but His mercies are new every morning.

Philippians 4:4-5 (NKJV)"Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand." Joy is not a feeling we wait to receive—it is a command we choose to walk in because Jesus is Emmanuel, God with you right now. Even in your struggle, family, He has not left your side.

Lamentations 3:21-23 (KJV)"This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness." When you stand before that mirror, remember: every morning God's faithfulness shows up fresh, unblemished, and ready to carry you forward into your next chapter.

Walking It Out

Look in the mirror today and declare who you are. Stand before your reflection and say aloud: "I am a child of God. I am loved. I am not defined by my pain. My story is not finished." Let this become your daily affirmation, not as empty words, but as truth rooted in the God who created you in His image.

Write down three chapters of your life where God came through. When joy feels stolen, memory becomes your weapon. Document the times He turned your mourning into dancing, your loss into lessons, your detours into destiny. Keep this list visible so that doubt cannot whisper that He has abandoned you now.

Share your struggle with one trusted believer this week. Do not carry your heaviness alone. Find a prayer partner, a spiritual elder, or a faith-filled friend and say, "I need your prayers. I need to remember my joy." Community is how God reminds us we are not forgotten.

A Prayer for You

Lord Jesus, I come to You today heavy-hearted but not broken in spirit. I release every fear that whispers that my best days are behind me, and I reject the lie that You have forgotten me in this dark season. Restore to me the joy of my salvation, the laughter that fear has stolen, the peace that passes all understanding. Help me see myself as You see me—beloved, redeemed, and destined for something greater. Spirit of the Living God, fall fresh on me right now and remind me that my story is far from finished. In Jesus' name, Amen.
