You Thought It Was Lost. God Didn’t

Share

There will come moments in your life when you must trust God's heart even when you cannot see God's hand.

Right now many of you are in that moment.

You are praying. You are believing. But the answer has not arrived yet.

And if we are honest, waiting can test your faith like nothing else.

But let me remind you of something: God has never failed you before.

Think about the doors God has already opened in your life. Think about the storms God already brought you through. Think about the moments when you thought it was over — and somehow God made a way.

That same God is still working on your behalf right now.

But when a season stretches longer than we expected, another voice starts whispering.

Part of you wants to keep trusting God. Part of you wonders if you have believed too much.

Even the Apostle Paul spoke about the struggle within his own spirit.

I have had those moments myself. Moments where I asked God: "Am I asking too much?" "Am I expecting too much?"

But then I remember the prayer of Jabez.

Jabez refused to settle for the limits that life tried to place on him. He asked God to enlarge his territory — and God granted his request.

Because faithful people are not afraid to believe God for more.

This Lenten season is not only about sacrifice. It is about realignment. It is about remembering that nothing is too hard for the God we serve.

So do not shrink your expectations because the road has been difficult.

The same God who carried you through yesterday is preparing something for tomorrow.

And I believe with everything in me that the next blessing God releases in your life will make sense of the struggle you thought broke you.

Scripture for Meditation

1 Chronicles 4:10 (KJV)"And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil! And God granted him that which he requested." Jabez did not apologize for his bold prayer, beloved. He understood that God is not offended by our faith, but rather delighted by it. Your request for enlargement is not too much—it is an act of worship.

Romans 8:28 (NKJV)"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." What you cannot see working right now is already being woven into your breakthrough. God is not idle during your waiting season; He is orchestrating details you have not yet discovered.

Habakkuk 2:3 (KJV)"For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry." The appointed time belongs to God, not to your clock. Your answer is not lost—it is arriving exactly when it was always meant to.

Walking It Out

Write down three previous miracles. Before you pray today, take pen and paper and write three specific times God came through for you. Keep this list visible. When doubt whispers, let these testimonies testify back.

Speak your enlargement aloud. Do not pray timidly. State clearly—to God and to yourself—what you are believing Him for. Name it. Claim it. Refuse to shrink your vision because the wait feels long.

Fast one meal and redirect that time to seeking God's face. This Lenten season, let your sacrifice become communion. Use the time you would have eaten to intercede, to journal, to hear what God wants to realign in your spirit.

A Prayer for You

Father, I come before You today refusing to believe the lie that You have forgotten me. I thank You for every door You have opened, every storm You have calmed, every time You made a way when there seemed to be no way. Right now, in this season of waiting, I choose to trust Your heart even though my eyes cannot see Your hand moving. Enlarge my territory, Lord. Enlarge my faith, my vision, my capacity to receive what You have promised. Keep me from shrinking back in fear, and keep me from the evil of doubt that would steal my inheritance. I declare that my answer is not lost—it is coming in Your perfect time. In Jesus' name, Amen.
