Scripture for Meditation
Psalm 42:1-2 (KJV) — "As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?" When your soul hungers for God more than anything else, beloved, you position yourself to receive His abundance. This thirst is not a weakness—it is the posture that opens heaven's doors to your household and relationships.
Malachi 3:10 (NKJV) — "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, says the Lord Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it." God invites you into partnership through your giving, family. When you honor Him with your substance, He responds by repositioning your entire life toward blessing and abundance.
Proverbs 3:9-10 (KJV) — "Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine." Your giving is not about ROHO's need—it is about your soul's alignment with God's principle of sowing and reaping. Every seed you plant in faithful obedience returns to you multiplied, transforming not just your finances but your family's spiritual inheritance.
Walking It Out
First, examine your giving heart this week. Ask yourself: Am I giving to God from a place of gratitude or obligation? Spend time in honest prayer, releasing any fear about lack, and intentionally sow your seed—whether $5 or more—as an act of worship and trust in God's promises.
Second, share this devotional and ROHO's mission with someone in your family or faith circle who needs to hear that God's Word is still powerful and available. Your testimony about how ROHO has poured into your life becomes a seed that multiplies blessing to others.
Third, declare over your household right now: "I sow in faith, and I reap in abundance. God is turning my situation around. My giving plants seeds of blessing for my children and their children." Write this declaration where you will see it daily, and watch how God honors your obedience and desire to worship Him.
A Prayer for You
Father God, I come before You today with a grateful heart, recognizing that everything I have belongs to You. I choose to honor You with my substance, knowing that my giving is an act of worship and trust in Your faithfulness. I plant my seed into ROHO's ministry with expectation, believing that You will open heaven's floodgates and pour out blessings I don't have room to receive. Bless my family, strengthen my relationships, and let my generosity be a testimony to Your goodness in my life and the lives of those I love. In Jesus' name, Amen.
