With faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, nothing is impossible for you.”

God uses storms to change the direction of your life. it is not God's desire that you suffer, but it is God's will that you grow in your faith. What does your life look like after the storm? After the divorce, after the disappointment, after the health diagnosis?

It is the nature and destiny of life that Storms will come. Better still, perhaps you are coming out of a storm right now. Trying to form a future after the storm ends? What does your life look like after the storm?

Our storms might look different in this life, but they all offer the opportunity to change us, forever. And God can take what seems tragic and devastating to turn it around for good. It may not happen as quickly as we’d like, it may feel like a struggle, and we might find ourselves longing for another way, but blessing will come from it. For it’s the way God works. The “good” will shine through.

And we won’t ever be the same again. For the person who eventually walks out of the storm will be different than the one who walked in. We can be assured, that God’s work within us is never for harm, but to strengthen us, to build deeper character and faith, and to bring us out as “gold,” leaving lasting impressions for His glory in this world.

He never promised us this life would be easy, but He does promise that He is bigger than any storm we face…and He’s always working for good.

GOD is with YOU. Right in the midst of it all. GOD BLESS YOU.

Scripture for Meditation

Matthew 17:20 (NKJV): "So Jesus said to them, 'Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, "Move from here to there," and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.'"

Beloved, faith is not measured by its size but by its sincerity. A mustard seed begins impossibly small, yet it grows into a tree. Your faith in Christ's power to restore you—even when it feels fragile—is enough to move the mountains of fear, doubt, and despair that surround your storm.

Romans 8:28 (KJV): "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

Family, this is not a promise that all things are good—but that God works within all things to produce good. The storm itself is not His desire, but His redemptive hand transforms it into purpose, character, and unshakeable faith for those who trust Him.

2 Corinthians 4:17 (NKJV): "For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory."

What feels eternal in the storm is momentary in God's timeline. He is crafting something glorious within you—a depth of character, a refined faith, and a testimony that will outlast the pain and point others toward His healing power.

Walking It Out

1. Speak your mountain out loud today. Name the specific mountain you're facing—the diagnosis, the loss, the fear. Then declare it to move in the name of Jesus. Not with doubt, but with the authority Christ gives you. Say it aloud. Let your ears hear your own faith rising.

2. Journal one way the storm has already changed you for good. Even small shifts—deeper compassion, stronger dependence on God, patience you didn't have before—are evidence that God is already at work. Write it down. When doubt comes, you'll have proof of His faithfulness.

3. Call someone still in their storm and share your testimony of emergence. Your willingness to testify that you're walking out—that the gold is forming—becomes a beacon for another soul still in darkness. Be specific about how God showed up.

A Prayer for You

Father, I come before You with the faith of a mustard seed, and I ask You to multiply it. The storms of my life have tried to define me, but I declare today that You are my definition. Take this pain, this disappointment, this struggle, and work it for good in my life—not for my comfort, but for Your glory and my character. Strengthen my faith as I walk out of this storm, and help me to see the gold that's forming within me. I trust You, Lord, not because the road is easy, but because You are bigger than every mountain I face. In Jesus' name, Amen.
