When the People of God Pray

Share

Last night, I sat and read through all the prayer requests that came in—and I had to share this one with you.

I want you to know that I am praying for you and your family each and every day. I can see God’s hand upon your life, and I stand in agreement with you that no matter what you’re facing, God will help you, sustain you, and deliver you.

Don’t get distracted by what’s happening around you. Stay focused on the vision that God placed in your spirit. As I read through your messages, I’m reminded that prayer still works. So today, I’m asking you to take a few minutes out of your day and lift up these petitions before the Lord. The Bible says in James 5:16, “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

Let’s continue to pray for one another. When we come together in faith, God moves, miracles happen, and lives are changed.

RECEIVED SUNDAY Night 9:12PM Est

“Good evening ROHO, my name is Carla. I’m 47 years old, and tonight as I was scrolling through my emails, I came across your message. I can’t even explain it it felt like God Himself was speaking to me through those words. The truth is, I’ve been in a dark season for a while now. Two years ago, I had what I thought was the best chapter of my life a good job, a car I loved, a small home I was proud of, and a strong church family that kept me grounded. But little by little, things started to fall apart.

My health took a turn first. Then I lost my job. Then my car broke down, and it felt like every time I took one step forward, life knocked me three steps back. I started questioning everything even my faith. But lately, these devotionals have been a lifeline for me. When I read your emails, it’s like a reminder that God hasn’t forgotten about me. Some days I still cry, but I’m beginning to believe again that He’s not finished with me yet.

Thank you for letting God use you. This ministry has been a light in some very dark nights. Please keep me and my family in prayer.” SUPPORT ROHO MINISTRY $5 ( Today is your opportunity to Support ROHO INTERCESSORY PRAYER MINISTRY. Scripture for Meditation

James 5:16 (KJV): "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

Beloved, this is not a promise for the isolated believer—it is a covenant for the connected church. When you pray with another believer, you are not simply adding voices; you are multiplying spiritual authority. Your prayers for Carla and others are not small things. They shake heavens and move the hand of God.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 (NKJV): "Pray without ceasing."

Family, this does not mean you must be on your knees every moment. It means your heart remains turned toward God throughout your day—in the car, at work, washing dishes, in the grocery store. When you lift someone's name before the Lord in that way, you are keeping them covered in the shelter of the Most High.

Ephesians 6:18 (KJV): "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints."

Prayer is not passive waiting; it is active warfare on behalf of those you love. When you intercede for your family, your marriage, your friendships, you are standing in the gap. You are declaring that the enemy will not have the final word over their lives.

Walking It Out

Write down three names today—whether family, a friend going through loss, or someone in your church community—and commit to praying for them by name each morning for the next seven days. Let them know you are standing with them in prayer.

Join or start a prayer circle with at least one other believer this week. Even if it's a phone call or a text thread, agree together that you will lift specific requests before the Lord. There is power when two or three gather in His name.

Create a prayer journal entry tonight where you write out one struggle you are facing in a relationship—marriage, family, or friendship—and then write out what you are believing God to do. Revisit this monthly and watch how the Lord moves.

A Prayer for You

Father, I thank You that You have called us into partnership through prayer, and that my intercession matters in the kingdom of God. I lift up everyone reading this—those in dark seasons like Carla, those struggling in their marriages, those estranged from family, those hurting in their friendships. Lord, be their refuge and their strength. Heal what is broken, restore what was lost, and give them eyes to see Your hand at work even in the waiting. And Father, give me a faithful, fervent prayer life—one that does not grow weary but stands in the gap for those I love. In Jesus' name, Amen.
