Unlock What God Placed in You

Share

This morning we talked about the power of creativity as healing. But here’s the twist—your creativity is not just about your own survival. It is also the gift God placed in you to bless the community.

Sometimes we silence our gifts because we think they are too small. But God has a way of taking what we dismiss and multiplying it. A song sung in the kitchen can encourage a neighbor. A prayer whispered at night can strengthen a family. A vision written on paper can one day transform a whole community.

Your gift is not for you alone—it is seed. And seed is meant to be planted. “Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness.” (2 Corinthians 9:10, KJV)

Lord, thank Thee for every gift within us. Remind us that creativity is not wasted but multiplied when we share it. Help us to use our gifts to heal our families, uplift our communities, and glorify Thy name. And bless every seed planted today—may it grow into a harvest of healing and hope. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

** 🌱 Sow a Seed Into Your Strength

At ROHO, every devotional, every prayer, every message is itself a creative act—words stitched together to heal, strengthen, and uplift. If ROHO has poured into you, consider planting back into this work. Your gift helps us keep creating and sharing daily messages that speak life to thousands.

Scripture for Meditation

1 Peter 4:10 (KJV) — "As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God."

Beloved, you are not the owner of your gifts—you are the steward. God entrusted them to you not for hoarding but for distribution. When you minister what you have received, you become a channel through which His grace flows to others, and that flow heals both the giver and the receiver.

Matthew 25:29 (KJV) — "For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath."

The gifts you use multiply; the gifts you bury diminish. This is not punishment—it is the nature of creation itself. When you plant your seed of creativity into your community, God's economy ensures a harvest. Silence your gift, and over time, even that fades.

Proverbs 11:25 (KJV) — "The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself."

When you give your gifts freely, you receive a blessing in return that no man can measure. Your act of sharing becomes an act of worship, and worship always returns healing to the worshipper.

Walking It Out

Identify one gift you have dismissed as "too small." Is it a song? A word of encouragement? A skill with your hands? Write it down. Stop calling it insignificant. Ask the Lord to show you one person in your circle who needs exactly what you carry.

Plant that seed this week. Don't wait for the perfect moment or the biggest platform. Share your gift—sing for your child, write that note, make that meal, teach that skill—to someone who needs it. Watch how God multiplies what you thought was small.

Tell yourself the truth about your calling. Every morning this week, speak aloud: "My gifts are not mine alone. They are seed. And I am planting them into my family and my community." Let this become the lens through which you see your ordinary day.

A Prayer for You

Father, forgive us for burying what You have given us out of fear or false humility. Open our eyes to see the seed You planted in our hearts—not as something fragile, but as something alive with resurrection power. Give us the courage to share our gifts freely, knowing that every song sung, every prayer spoken, every word written is multiplying in ways we may never see on this side of eternity. Heal us from the poverty mentality that says our gifts are too small to matter, and restore us to the abundance mindset that says our seed will produce a harvest. In Jesus' name, Amen.
