Trusting God with the timing of it all
A few years ago, I went through a very difficult period where I felt like I was losing my grip on the Life I thought I wanted. On the outside, everything looked fine, but there was an internal war going on inside of me. So many of the things I wanted I had, but I still felt incomplete. It seemed as though there was always 1 thing missing. I kept thinking to myself--"I'll be totally happy when I have children, or when I get married" Only to realize that there was nothing on the outside that was going to fulfill this inner need.
If you are like me, then you know what it's like to feel like something is missing. You've worked hard all your life, but there is this nagging pull on your soul- telling you that you should be more happy, you should be more excited. God desires to give you your heart's desires and the test of faith is having the patience to trust God's timing. So many of the things I thought I wanted, I realized I was not ready for. Too many people are praying for things they are not ready to receive. God's timing is not man's timing. In fact the entire Bible is a lesson in Timing. From Abraham to the 12 Disciples, we see people who want things before God's appointed time. God does not move before it's the perfect time for God to move.
I know there are some things you have been praying for. Praying for the restoration of an old relationship. Praying for the promotion on your Job. Praying that a nagging illness is finally healed. God hears your prayers. God is not silent to your pleas. God will come and see about you. Yet God wants you to trust him more. God has never failed. The times when I feel like God is absent, I remember my own testimony and the ways God has made for me. I recall where God has brought me from. And my own story of Faith encourages me to keep trusting God. The key ingredient that separates you from those who do not believe in God is your ability to TRUST GOD EVEN WHEN IT'S DIFFICULT. Everyone can trust God when the sun is shining and they have a pocket full of money. But you are called to Trust God's heart even when you cannot trace God's hand. God's timing may be different from your expectations, but God's timing is STILL PERFECT. He may not come when you want him to, but God is always on time.

Scripture for Meditation
Ecclesiastes 3:11 (KJV) — "He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart; yet so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end." Beloved, God is not late—He is precise. What feels delayed in your life is actually being prepared by the Master's hand, crafted for the exact moment you are ready to receive it.
Romans 8:28 (NKJV) — "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." The detours, the waiting seasons, the unanswered prayers—they are not punishment. They are part of God's perfect architecture for your life, family. Trust the process even when you cannot see the blueprint.
Habakkuk 2:3 (KJV) — "For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry." Your promise has a date on God's calendar. The waiting is not denial—it is development.
Walking It Out
Examine one unfulfilled prayer today. Write down what God has asked you to develop or strengthen while you wait. Is it patience? Obedience? Character? Spend 10 minutes identifying one area where God is using this season to mature you.
Release one expectation. Name one specific timeline you've been holding onto—the promotion, the relationship, the healing—and consciously surrender it to God's calendar instead of your own. Say it aloud: "God, I release my timing and trust Yours."
Find one biblical figure who waited. Read about Joseph (Genesis 37-41), Abraham (Genesis 12-21), or David (1 Samuel 16-2 Samuel 5). Notice how their waiting season prepared them for their calling. Let their faith become fuel for yours.
A Prayer for You
Father God, I come to You today confessing that my impatience has stolen my peace. I have been gripping so tightly to my timeline that I've missed the beauty of what You are doing right now. Forgive me for doubting Your faithfulness and for rushing ahead of Your purpose. Today, I surrender my "when" to Your "when," and I ask for the grace to trust what I cannot yet see. Give me the strength to keep praying, keep believing, and keep growing while I wait. I thank You in advance for the fulfillment You have already ordained. In Jesus' name, Amen.
