This Friday,Prepare the Ground — Your Harvest Is Closer Than You Think
As we close out this week, I want to remind you that God wastes nothing — not even the hard seasons.
When I was growing up on my grandparents’ farm in Jamaica, I learned that the harvest doesn’t happen overnight. You plant, you water, you wait. Some days the ground looks quiet, but underneath the surface, God is working.
That’s how it is with your life. You’ve been sowing through faith, through tears, through obedience and I came to tell you this Friday: your harvest is on the way.
But don’t mistake waiting for idleness. A real harvest takes work. You still have to till the soil, pull the weeds, and make room for what’s about to grow. God’s blessings are not passive; they respond to participation. You have a part to play in the miracle that’s coming.
“And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten.” — Joel 2:25 (KJV)
Even if this week has felt dry, even if your strength is low, don’t lose hope. God specializes in reviving what looks dead. He can restore lost time, rebuild broken finances, and renew weary faith.
So as you step into the weekend, keep your heart open. The work you’ve been doing in faith has not gone unseen. Something is beginning to sprout beneath the surface.
MAKE THIS YOUR PRAYER TODAY ( Thank You for carrying me through another week. Even when the soil looks dry, I trust that You are still planting purpose in me. Revive my strength, refresh my spirit, and restore the things I thought were lost. Let this weekend mark the start of my harvest. In Jesus’ name, lost. Restore my Family. Restore My Finances. Restore my Joy. In The name of Jesus Christ, Amen.”

Scripture for Meditation
Ecclesiastes 3:11 (KJV) — "He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart; yet so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end." Beloved, God's timing is not random—it is perfect. What looks like delay in your life is actually divine arrangement, preparing you for a blessing that requires the exact season you're in.
Galatians 6:9 (KJV) — "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." This is not empty encouragement, family. Paul is telling you that your faithfulness has an expiration date on its reward. The harvest is due—not maybe, not someday, but due. Don't quit before payday.
Psalm 126:5-6 (KJV) — "They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him." Your tears are not wasted salt on barren ground—they are seed. God counts every drop as investment in your harvest.
Walking It Out
First: This Friday, spend 15 minutes identifying one area where you've been faithful but haven't yet seen the full harvest. Write it down. Name it. Then write one action you can take this weekend to till that soil—whether that's making one phone call, having one conversation, or taking one step you've been afraid to take.
Second: Remove one weed from your life this weekend. A weed is anything competing for the nutrients of your blessing—unforgiveness, comparison, doubt, or a relationship that pulls you backward. Name it. Deal with it. Make room.
Third: Share this word with someone in your circle who is tired. Text them, call them, speak life to them. Your testimony about God's faithfulness becomes seed in their ground too.
A Prayer for You
Father, I come to You this Friday with a grateful heart, knowing that nothing I've sown in faith has fallen to waste. Strengthen my hands to finish the work You've given me, and open my eyes to see the growth You're already working beneath the surface of my life. Forgive me for the times I've looked at the dry season and forgotten Your promise. Restore to me the years the locusts have eaten, and let this weekend be the beginning of my harvest breaking through. In Jesus' name, Amen.
