There is a fountain Filled with blood drawn from Emmanuels vein, and The sinners who plunged beneath that blood Lose all their guilty stains

With each passing day, it becomes clear that Life is not predictable. There are ups and downs along the way. Many of us want to trust God. When times are good, it can feel easier. But when times feel difficult, it is even more important to trust God. God’s unchanging character can give you a firm foundation when things feel unsteady and uncertain.

Life can be going along smoothly for a season. Your job is rewarding. Your friends and family are blessed. Your goals, finances, health and outlook seem bright. Then, all of a sudden, life throws a curveball. A close family member gets sick. Your co-worker begins to be a thorn in your side. A friend or family member betrays you. The things you felt secure in all of a sudden feel shaky and uncertain. How do you trust that God is good in these circumstances? How do you trust Him when you do not understand what is happening? When you cannot see a resolution? These are valid questions, and God wants to help you navigate them.

Because God loves you, you can show your trust in Him by talking about all your feelings and circumstances with Him — the good and hard — through prayer. Don’t let your emotions rule your life; bring them to God so He can help you address them. He is not disappointed or frustrated by your struggles, doubts or pain. God cares about you, and you can trust Him with those things. When you trust, you go to God and His word when life is hard. You also step out on faith (doing what God says in His Word) and trust that He will ultimately take care of the rest.

In trust, you do not look for security in other things; you look to God to hold you securely in difficult circumstances. You won’t do this perfectly, but God is kind and patient and he will see you through.

2 Scriptures to Help you Trust God

Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7)

"You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle.

Scripture for Meditation

Isaiah 26:3 (KJV) — "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee."

Beloved, perfect peace is not the absence of trouble — it is the presence of a mind fixed on Jesus. When your thoughts drift to fear and what-ifs, deliberately return them to God's character. He is faithful, He is able, and He has never failed those who trust Him.

Psalm 27:10 (NKJV) — "When my father and mother forsake me, then the LORD will take care of me."

Family, even when every earthly support crumbles, God remains. He will not abandon you in your darkest hour. Your trust in Him is never misplaced because His love is unconditional and His promises are sure.

1 Peter 5:7 (KJV) — "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."

The burden you carry is too heavy for your shoulders alone. God invites you to release every anxiety, every doubt, every pain into His hands. He does not tire of hearing your cries — He welcomes them with compassion.

Walking It Out

Name one fear you are carrying right now, and speak it aloud to God in prayer. Do not hide it or minimize it. Write it down if it helps. God wants the real you, not a polished version. Bring your honest struggle before Him.

Choose one promise from Scripture this week and post it where you will see it daily. Whether on your mirror, your phone, or your desk, let God's Word interrupt your anxious thoughts throughout the day. Meditate on it. Speak it over yourself.

Take one step of faith today, no matter how small. If God is calling you to forgive, to reach out, to trust in a specific area — do it. Faith without works is dead. Let your actions show that you truly believe God is good and trustworthy.

A Prayer for You

Father, I come before You today with a grateful heart, but also with honest struggles. Help me to trust You not because my circumstances are comfortable, but because You are faithful. When doubt rises, remind me of Your character — that You are good, that You are able, and that You care for me deeply. Give me courage to bring all my pain, all my fear, and all my questions to You without shame. And give me the faith to take steps forward even when I cannot see the entire path. In Jesus' name, Amen.
