The Foundations Of Your Life Is rooted In God’s Goodness and Mercy
One of the deepest joys of being a Believer is you have direct access to God. I have heard from a lot of people who see their failures, sins, and mistakes as the end of their story. We feel that because they messed up they can't keep going. Or worse sometimes we think that our shortcomings cause God to lose love for us. But God's love isn't fickle like the love of other people. When you make a terrible mistake you might lose the love of friends and family, but God will still be standing right there ready to wipe your tears.
Today's sermon blessed me because it teaches that if you're too busy building monuments to your past you won't have time to build for your future. I don't know what you're going through right now, but I do hope that you have your eyes firmly fixed on your future. Focusing on your future means moving beyond yesterday's mistakes. The enemy wants you to be so consumed by your pain that you don't prepare a way into your promise. But you can declare that today is the day to start building for my future.
Don't waste time trying to run away from God just to hide your flaws, God Loves You Perfectly Just the way you are. Come to God in open honest vulnerability and God will embrace you with a love that is powerful enough to heal all wounds. Let today be the end of your hiding. Embrace who you are and run back to the God of your salvation.

Scripture for Meditation
Psalm 23:6 (KJV) — "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever." Beloved, God's goodness and mercy are not distant promises—they are actively pursuing you, even when you cannot see them. Your failures do not outrun His favor; His mercy follows you like a faithful shadow.
Romans 8:1 (NKJV) — "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit." Family, when you run back to God in honest vulnerability, condemnation loses its grip on your life. The weight of yesterday's mistakes cannot chain you when you belong to Christ.
Lamentations 3:22-23 (KJV) — "It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness." Every dawn brings fresh mercy; God does not recycle yesterday's judgment. Your future is not built on yesterday's rubble—it is built on the renewable compassion of a God who never runs out of grace.
Walking It Out
Name one specific mistake or failure you've been hiding from God, and bring it to Him in prayer today—not as a confession to earn forgiveness, but as an act of radical honesty. Write it down, speak it aloud, and let the silence of God's presence replace the noise of your shame.
Identify one relationship damaged by your past, and take one concrete step toward restoration—a phone call, a letter, a sincere apology. You cannot control their response, but you can control your willingness to move forward in humility.
Create a visible reminder of your future, not your past. Write down one specific goal, dream, or promise God has given you, and place it somewhere you'll see it daily. Let it be the monument you build—not to your failures, but to your faith in what God is doing ahead.
A Prayer for You
Father, I come before You today laying down the weight of yesterday. I release the shame, the regret, the monuments I've built to my mistakes, and I ask You to help me see myself the way You see me—fully known, completely loved, and forever forgiven. Give me the courage to walk in vulnerability, to restore what has been broken, and to build boldly toward the future You've promised me. Let my eyes stay fixed on Your goodness and mercy, and let me never again hide from the One who came to heal me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
