The First Time You Experience A Storm, It can be Overwhelming. With Faith You Will Learn That Every Storm Eventually Runs Out of Rain
When you have moments of confusion and distress, these are opportunities to draw closer to God. Don’t let the enemy trick you into thinking God has walked away. Here is a prayer to help you when you feel lost and disconnected from God:
“Eternal God, you promised to never leave nor forsake me.
I believe your Word and trust that it will not return unto you void. However, there are moments where I feel distant and disconnected from your spirit. My prayer is that you would fall fresh on me oh God. Reveal your glory in my life. In Jesus name, Amen “
I’m so thankful for this truth: God promises to bring good from the storms of devastation in your life.
ROHO Founder **** TODAY IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO BE A BLESSING******** **ROHO is 100% supported by our members** Your giving makes a difference.
Our storms might look different in this life, but they all offer the opportunity to change us, forever. And God can take what seems tragic and devastating to turn it around for good. It may not happen as quickly as we’d like, it may feel like a struggle, and we might find ourselves longing for another way, but blessing will come from it. For it’s the way God works. The “good” will shine through.
And we won’t ever be the same again. For the person who eventually walks out of the storm will be different than the one who walked in. We can be assured, that God’s work within us is never for harm, but to strengthen us, to build deeper character and faith, and to bring us out as “gold,” leaving lasting impressions for His glory in this world.
He never promised us this life would be easy, but He does promise that He is bigger than any storm we face…and He’s always working for good.
He’s with us. Right in the midst of it all. GOD BLESS YOU.
Scripture for Meditation
Romans 8:28 (KJV): "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."
Beloved, this is not a promise that everything feels good in the moment—but that God is working through it all. Your storm is not outside His sovereign hand. He is not surprised by your rain; He is already redeeming it.
Isaiah 43:2 (NKJV): "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you."
Notice God does not say you will avoid the water or the fire—He says you will pass through it. His presence is your protection, not the absence of the storm. Family, He meets you in the downpour, not after it.
Psalm 30:5 (KJV): "For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning."
Your night season is temporary. Every storm eventually runs out of rain, just as this devotional's title promises. The morning is coming, and with it, a transformed you.
Walking It Out
1. Name Your Storm, Then Name God's Promise Over It — Write down one storm you're facing right now. Beside it, write one scripture that directly contradicts the lie that God has abandoned you. Speak it aloud three times today. Let your ears hear your own voice declaring His faithfulness.
2. Find One Person to Witness Your Faith — Call or text someone you trust and tell them: "I'm in a storm, but I'm holding to God's promise." Accountability and community are God's design. Your declaration to another person strengthens your own conviction.
3. Journal One Way You've Already Changed — Reflect on a past storm you've weathered. Write down one way you are not the same person who walked into that difficulty. This is your evidence that God works. This is your testimony for today's rain.
A Prayer for You
Father God, I come to You today in the middle of my storm, and I declare that You have not left me. My feelings are lying to me, but Your Word is true. I ask You to refresh my spirit right now—let me feel Your presence in a way that silences every doubt. Transform this rain into redemption; take what the enemy meant for harm and use it to build me into gold. And God, help me trust the morning, even when I cannot yet see it. In Jesus' name, Amen.
