The day I realized I needed a bigger prayer
There is power in prayer. I have seen God answer my Prayer, Time and Time again.. I don't need anyone else to confirm this for me. All throughout my life, I can attest that God has opened doors for me. God has made ways for me; Prayer WORKS! But prayer can become lazy when I find myself simply saying the same words over and over again. The days are passing, the seasons are changing, but I am saying the same prayer over and over again. Prayer is not a formula. There are no special words in prayer. You do not have to say the same thing. You do not have to pray the same way, in fact a few years ago, I was praying and I heard God say to me, "ROHO IT'S TIME FOR A BIGGER PRAYER."
I wanted God to do all these new things in my life, but I was praying the same thing I have been praying for years, It's time for a bigger prayer. I love God but I had made my prayer life into a ritual. Prayer became me closing my eyes and saying the same set of words I always said, but it was time for a bigger prayer.
TODAY, RIGHT NOW, GOD IS TELLING YOU: IT'S TIME FOR A BIGGER PRAYER.
INSTEAD OF TELLING GOD WHAT YOU THINK GOD WANTS TO HEAR. INSTEAD OF TRYING TO SOUND LIKE SOMEBODY ELSE, begin to tell God what is really going on. Being to get vulnerable and honest with God and with yourself. New levels call for Bigger Prayers. New Blessings require Bigger Prayers. Beloved, God wants you to expand your prayer life. It's time for a bigger prayer.

A Prayer for Increased Expectations:
I submit my mind to the control and rule of your Holy Spirit. I'm tired of saying the same old prayer. I want to go deeper in my relationship with you. I want to draw closer to you. So I come before you naked and unashamed. I come before you vulnerable and honest. I am yours Lord, everything I am, everything I have, I am yours. I reject any thoughts, imaginations or pretensions that contrast your loving thoughts toward me. I accept and declare that I am your righteousness, O God, in the name of Jesus. I place about me the belt of truth and pray that your Holy Spirit would lead me into all truth.
Help me to base my life on your word. I stand on the rock of Jesus that cannot be shaken. Help me to know and understand your word and to base my life on your good news and not to be overcome by any bad news, anxieties of this life, fear of loss or by the temptations of this world.
Inspire me to speak your powerful, life-giving word into my circumstances, against the enemy, into my own mind and life. Help me to speak blessings over my life and over my loved ones.
In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray, Amen!
