"Shalom": The Way to Healing in your life, Lent- Week 3
In Hebrew, there is a word “shalom” which means Peace. This lenten season we mark the steps of Jesus while also focusing on our own lives and relationship with God. The first words that Jesus spoke as he appeared to his disciples was the word--"shalom."-Peace. What Jesus was wishing for them was healing in their grieving and wholeness for their shattered dreams. I want you to think about what healing do you need this Lent? What would it take to achieve wholeness in your life and the life of your family. And do you have the courage to be the one who stands amid the brokenness and proclaims shalom — Peace — to all the difficulty in your life.
I talk to so many ROHO Subscribers who are living in houses where there is confusion and bitterness. We wrestle against strongholds on our jobs, issues in our relationships, and then we have to come back to houses where there is no peace! The things that keep you up at night are not the external issues, rather its the pain and suffering going on in your very own house. So today I want to pray for God's covering over you and your household. I want to pray for the breaking of chains in dysfunctional family relationships and for a restoration of love and trust in your family.

LENTEN PRAYER FOR PEACE IN YOUR HOUSE (
I want to thank You for this house and for my family. Please keep my family united, and our bond strong as the days pass. Please guide us, protect us and equip us to do Your will each and every day. Thank You for all that You are, and all that You have given us. My heart is forever grateful.
I ask for protection and safety over my spouse, my children, my parents, my family members and myself today. Please lead us with Your mighty hands today and always. Deliver us from any enemy and evil that try to hinder our way. Do not let the ways of the enemy blind our eyes. We know that You are for us, so that no one could ever stop us.
God, there is a war going on in the souls of my family. I pray that you would bring peace into this house. Let the war between us cease. Help us to speak loving and kind words to each other. Teach us how to forgive and stop holding grudges. God, there are times I stay up all night long, uncertain and afraid about what to do next, so I ask for your direction and for your comfort. I pray that they show love instead of revenge on those who do not agree with them.
Give me strength to persevere through any troubles that come my way today. It is time to rise above the sin that comes at me and to that of my family members. It is in Your precious name I pray these things. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray..Amen.
