Scripture for Meditation
Proverbs 14:26 — "In the fear of the Lord is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge." Beloved, your confidence is not meant to rest on your bank account or your circumstances—it rests on your reverence for the Almighty God. When you anchor your trust in Him, you become unshakeable, for He is your fortress and your hiding place.
2 Timothy 1:7 — "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." Family, the enemy wants you to shrink back in shame and doubt, but God has already deposited within you the spirit of boldness, authority, and clear thinking. That broken confidence you feel? It is not from God—it is a lie you must refuse.
Philippians 4:6-7 — "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and your minds through Christ Jesus." When you bring your financial fears and shattered confidence to the throne of grace with a grateful heart, God Himself stands guard over your mind and spirit.
Walking It Out
First, write down one area where your confidence has been broken—whether in your finances, your provision, or your ability to provide for your family. Name it. Be honest. Then speak aloud: "I give this to God right now. My confidence is restored in Jesus Christ, not in this circumstance."
Second, join the ROHO prayer list at 3 PM today and add your name and your family. Do not pray alone—link your faith with the faith of others who are crying out to God. There is power in corporate intercession.
Third, take one concrete financial step this week that demonstrates faith: whether it's creating a budget, seeking wise counsel, or making a payment toward a debt. Action paired with prayer is how you rebuild broken confidence.
A Prayer for You
Father God, I come before You just as I am, broken and weary, but still believing. My confidence has been shattered by loss, by fear, by the weight of this world—but today I am laying it all at Your feet. Restore in me the confidence that comes only from You, the God who never fails, who always provides, and who sees every tear I have cried. Give me the strength to keep moving forward, the wisdom to make right choices with my finances, and the faith to trust that You are working all things together for my good. In Jesus' name, Amen.
