Prayer Points For Overcoming Strongholds on Your Job

Share

This week teaching is focused on Overcoming Spiritual Warfare and It is clear that so many of you are engaged in a Spiritual Battle Right now. You are wresting against forces that are attacking you because of the calling God has placed on your life. The 2 Greatest battlefields that you will encounter are in your home and on your Job. I recently read a prayer request from a ROHO Subscriber who was requesting prayer for his Workplace. He mentioned how he felt disrespected at work. So many of you can testify to feeling disrespected on your Job. So often it can feel like you are battling an enemy that is focused on disrespecting you in front of your co-workers.

It's one thing to be stressed at work, but it's hurtful to feel disrespected. Overcoming strongholds at work requires prayer and supplication because God wants peace on your Job. You are not like everyone else, You are God's people. You spend the majority of your time at work, and you cannot spend your days in frustration and chaos. Use today as an opportunity to change the narrative that work has to be horrible and that you have to be at war with your co-workers. You need to remember that God is with you, even on your job. God is fighting your battles when it feels like you are constantly under attack. Here are some resources to help you overcome a hostile work environment.

Winning Spiritual Warfare on your Job

As I enter this workplace I bring Your presence with me. I speak Your peace, Your grace, Your mercy, and Your perfect order in this office.I acknowledge Your power over all that will be spoken, thought, decided, and done within these walls.

Lord, I come against every sprit that is not of you. I bind every disrespectful attack in the name of Jesus. I loose blessings of promotion and peace in this workplace right now.

I thank You for the gifts You have blessed me with. I commit to using them responsibly in Your honor. Give me a fresh supply of strength to do my job. Anoint my projects, ideas and energy so that even my smallest accomplishments may bring You glory. In Jesus name, Amen.

Scripture for Meditation

Ephesians 6:12 (KJV) — "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

Beloved, that disrespect you feel at work is not ultimately about your coworkers—it's a spiritual attack meant to shake your confidence in your calling. When you remember this truth, you stop taking offense personally and start taking authority spiritually. The battle is the Lord's, and He has already won it.

Proverbs 22:3 (NKJV) — "A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished."

God gives you spiritual discernment to recognize hostile environments before they consume you. Walk in wisdom at your job—set boundaries, speak with grace, and refuse to engage in the chaos others create. Your peace is a weapon against the enemy's plans.

Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV) — "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and your minds through Christ Jesus."

Prayer is not a last resort—it is your first response to every attack at work. When you bring your workplace struggles to God in prayer, He stations His peace as a guard over your heart and mind, protecting you from the bitterness and frustration the enemy wants to plant.

Walking It Out

Pray before you clock in. Spend five minutes in your car or at home before work speaking God's presence, peace, and authority over your workplace. Declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. Make this a non-negotiable part of your routine.

Respond to disrespect with silence and Scripture. When a coworker disrespects you, pause before you speak. Breathe. Pray silently. Then respond with professionalism and kindness—not because they deserve it, but because you belong to Jesus. Your calm response is a testimony that confuses the enemy.

Journal one victory each week. Write down one moment when God protected your peace, helped you respond well, or shifted a difficult situation at work. This practice keeps your faith anchored and reminds you that God is actively fighting for you, even when it doesn't feel obvious.

A Prayer for You

Father God, I come to You today on behalf of every believer battling disrespect and spiritual warfare on their job. Give them eyes to see the real enemy—not their coworkers, but the forces of darkness that seek to steal their peace and their purpose. Strengthen them with the full armor of Christ, and let their workplace become a testimony of Your power. Grant them wisdom to walk in grace, courage to stand firm in their calling, and the unshakeable peace that comes only from You. Let every attack be turned to victory, and let them leave their job each day knowing they have won the battle because You fight for them. In Jesus' name, Amen.
