Midweek Manna: Midday Peace: Be Still and Listen 🕊️
This midday moment is your invitation to slow down, breathe, and realign your heart. You do not have to live in constant reaction to the chaos around you — you can respond from a place of peace within you.
🌊 Practice Holy Stillness: * Find ten quiet minutes today. * Write down everything that is weighing on you — your worries, your fears, your unanswered questions. * Place that paper somewhere symbolic (on your desk, under your Bible, or even at your prayer space) as a sign that you are giving it to God. * Read Psalm 46 aloud, breathe deeply, and sit in silence. Invite the Lord to speak and write down whatever He places on your heart.
Let that word become your guide for the rest of the week.
Lord, Still my racing thoughts and calm my anxious heart. Silence every voice that does not come from You and drown out the noise of fear, doubt, and confusion. Teach me to rest in Your sovereignty when everything around me feels unsteady. Remind me that You are my refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Deliver me from the urge to act out of panic or frustration. Teach me to wait until I have heard from You before I move. Let my words be few and my prayers be many. Cover me with Your peace that passes all understanding and guard my heart and mind through Christ Jesus.
I reject every spirit of fear, worry, and distraction, and I declare that my mind will be stayed on You — for You promised to keep me in perfect peace when my mind is fixed on You.
Today, I choose to trust that You are God — not my circumstances, not my fears, not the voices around me. You are God, and that is enough.
"ADD YOUR NAME TO THE PRAYER LIST NOW (mailto:ROHO@mailroho.io?subject=SUBMIT%20PRAYER%20REQUEST%20BELOW%3A%20MID-DAY%20PRAYER%20LIST) "
Peace, ROHO 🙏🏾 Because it’s Wednesday, family, I invite you to submit your Midweek Manna prayer requests. If you are grieving—or carrying someone’s name in your heart—let us lift you in prayer. You are not alone.
Scripture for Meditation
Psalm 46:10 (KJV) — "Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth."
Beloved, stillness is not laziness — it is the posture of faith. When you cease your striving and your scheming, you create space for God to move. In that holy pause, you remember who He is, and you remember whose you are.
Isaiah 30:15 (NKJV) — "For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: 'In returning and rest you shall be saved; In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.'"
Family, your strength does not come from noise and hustle. It comes from turning back to God and resting in His promise. Every moment you spend in His presence is a moment you are being restored.
Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV) — "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and your minds through Christ Jesus."
When anxiety knocks, prayer answers. God's peace is not the absence of your circumstances — it is His presence in the midst of them, standing guard over your heart.
Walking It Out
Set a midday alarm. Let it remind you at noon or 1 p.m. to pause for just five minutes. Step away from your screen, your phone, and your to-do list. Breathe. Whisper the words, "Be still, and know that I am God." Let that moment reset your afternoon.
Write and release. Before this week ends, follow the practice from today's devotional. Get pen and paper. Write down one fear, one worry, or one question that has been stealing your peace. Then physically place it somewhere as a symbol of surrender. You are telling God, "This is Yours now."
Choose one verse to carry with you. From the scriptures above, pick the one that speaks most directly to your heart right now. Write it on a card, a sticky note, or set it as your phone's lock screen. When panic rises, let that verse be the first voice you hear.
A Prayer for You
Father, I come to You in this moment with my hands open and my heart honest. I lay down the weight of my worries, the burden of my unanswered questions, and the pressure to have it all figured out. Teach me, Lord, to be still — not because I am lazy, but because I trust that You are God and I am not. Guard my mind and my heart with Your supernatural peace, and let my trust in You run deeper than my fear of what is coming. In Jesus' name, Amen.
