Looking Back Over The Ways God Has Blessed You Will Give You Strength For The Journey

Share

"The Bible reminds us that our struggles are not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of darkness (Ephesians 6:12). But in the midst of these battles, remember that the best chapter of your life is yet to come - the story of your comeback!

Wherever you are, God is turning things around in your favor. This is your comeback year! He has destined you to be a leader, not a follower; to be above and not beneath; to lend and not borrow.

As a child of God, you are covered by the blood of Jesus and empowered by His Spirit. Don't give up, even when life tries to bring you down. God has a purpose and destiny for you that is bigger than your current circumstances.

Keep pressing forward, knowing that your better days are ahead. As you start this new week, I encourage you to listen to a sermon and song that have been a blessing to me, and I pray they will be a blessing to you as well.

Let's give God praise and thank Him for His goodness and faithfulness in our lives. May this be your comeback year, and may God's purpose and destiny for you be fulfilled!"

Scripture for Meditation

Psalm 77:11-12 (KJV) — "I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old. I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings."

Beloved, when you feel weak and weary, memory becomes your strength. David teaches us that deliberately recalling what God has already done anchors our faith for what He will do. Write down three specific times God moved in your favor—keep that list visible.

Deuteronomy 8:2 (NKJV) — "And you shall remember that the LORD your God led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart."

Family, the wilderness seasons weren't punishment—they were preparation. Every struggle you survived became a stone of remembrance. Those seasons built the character and faith you need for the throne God has prepared for you.

Philippians 4:4-5 (KJV) — "Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand."

Joy is not denial of your struggle; it is defiance against it. When you rejoice despite circumstances, you declare that God's faithfulness outlasts every trial. Your comeback begins with your mouth—speak praise before you feel it.

Walking It Out

1. Create a "God's Faithfulness" journal entry today. Write down at least five specific moments when God provided, protected, or positioned you. Be detailed—include dates, emotions, and outcomes. Return to this list whenever doubt creeps in.

2. Share one testimony of God's goodness with someone struggling. Text, call, or meet with one person who needs to hear how God showed up for you. Your past breakthrough is someone else's present hope.

3. Declare one specific promise over your life aloud, three times today. Choose one: "I am destined to lead, not follow." "My comeback is coming." "God is turning things in my favor." Speak it in the morning, at noon, and before bed. Let your ears hear what your spirit needs to believe.

A Prayer for You

Lord, open the eyes of my heart to see clearly what You have already done for me. When I am tempted to despair, remind me of every victory, every provision, every narrow escape from the enemy's hand. I thank You that my worst chapter is behind me and my best is ahead. Give me courage to declare that this is my comeback year, and grant me the faith to press forward even when circumstances scream otherwise. I declare that I am covered by the blood of Jesus, empowered by Your Spirit, and destined for greatness. In Jesus' name, Amen.
