"Lessons From The Emergency Room" --God is A Healer!
A few months ago I went to dinner with one of my good friends who is an emergency room Doctor. During dinner, I told her my stomach has been bothering me recently and said "I wonder why I am sick?". She stopped eating her food and said to be "ROHO! You are not sick. Just because you don't feel well, doesn't mean you're sick. And if you tell yourself you're sick, your body will believe you." I thought about that conversation all night long, because it was so profoundly true. As we left dinner she said: "Remember Life and Death lie in the power of your tongue". I know you are going through some hardships and you needed to hear that word this morning because Sometimes it takes another person to remind you of God's Power. There are times in life when the promises God has made to you will be questioned by the circumstances around you. Many of us who believe in Christ are often ashamed to admit that following Jesus and staying true to the Word that has been spoken over our lives can be extremely difficult. I have found that the temptations that make me question myself and even more so, question God, never go away - No matter how Holy we are.
In these times, I find it necessary to remind myself of what GOD SAYS ABOUT ME. I encourage myself by literally speaking aloud what I know God's word says. This outward affirmation counteracts all the other voices that are trying to make me give up, and give in.
This weekend, when those difficult times creep upon you, take just 5 minutes and say to yourself, "God has called me for this!"

7 BIBLICAL Affirmations TO EMPOWER YOUR LIFE. SAY THEM OVER YOUR LIFE: * "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13) * "God is Bigger than This" * I am an Heir to The Kingdom of God * God has assigned me to this work and God will see me through this. * "I am equipped for every good deed and lavished with every grace." (II Corinthians 9:8) * "The Lord is my Shepherd. I shall not want." (Psalm 23:1 * "God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in time of trouble." (Psalm 46:1)
Scripture for Meditation
Proverbs 23:7 (KJV) — "For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he." Beloved, your words are not mere sounds floating into the air—they are seeds planted into the soil of your spirit. What you confess about yourself will take root and grow. Speak life, and life will flourish within you.
Mark 11:23-24 (NKJV) — "For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them." Your words carry creative power when they are aligned with God's truth. Do not speak the problem—speak the promise.
Psalm 107:20 (KJV) — "He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions." The healing you need does not come from your circumstances changing first—it comes from God's Word transforming how you see yourself and your situation. His Word is the medicine your soul requires.
Walking It Out
Speak your affirmation aloud today. Set aside five minutes this morning and declare three faith-filled statements about yourself based on Scripture: "I am whole in Christ," "God is my healer," "I walk in strength and not in sickness." Hear your own voice speaking life. Do not whisper—declare it with authority.
Replace one negative thought with God's truth. When you catch yourself saying "I'm falling apart" or "This will never change," immediately counter it with a Scripture verse. Write it on your phone, your mirror, your dashboard. Make the switch intentional and immediate.
Share this word with someone who needs it. Call or text a family member or friend who is walking through hardship and remind them what God says about them. Your voice may be the instrument God uses to restore their faith today.
A Prayer for You
Father God, I thank You for the power You have placed in my tongue and in my words. Help me to speak only what aligns with Your truth and Your promises over my life. When doubt creeps in and circumstances press against my faith, give me the courage to declare Your Word aloud, to hear myself confessing what You have already done. Silence every voice that contradicts Your love and healing power in my life. Let my words today plant seeds of faith, hope, and wholeness that will grow and manifest in my body, my mind, and my spirit. In Jesus' name, Amen.
