"Its Time For A Bigger Prayer, As You Put Away Things From The Past"

Share

Imagine if you listened to all the nay-sayers in your life, just think about how different your life would be. So often other people will try to demish your light because of thier own fears and failures. Today it's time to break free from other people's opinions. Too often you press the pause button on your purpose because you listen to friends and family who don’t believe in your potential and don’t share your dreams. You have to learn that the criticism you hear from other people can’t outweigh the directions you hear from God. When God gives you a mission you have to go for it. Let the words of doubters, haters, and naysayers roll off your shoulders while you keep moving forward. Jesus had tons of people doubting him and criticizing him, but he kept walking in God’s will. Follow his example today and break free from other people’s opinions.

Dear God, I’m grateful for all you have done thus far Help me to shake off the limits of my faith Keep me focused on the goals you have set before me Remove the distractions And quiet the nay-saysers In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

5 SCRIPTURES TO HELP YOU STAY FOCUSED.

Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

2 Corinthians 4:18 "while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal."

Matthew 6:33 "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."

Philippians 3:14 "I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."

Romans 8:5 "For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit."

Scripture for Meditation

Proverbs 29:25 (KJV) — "The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe." Beloved, when you make man's approval your highest court of appeal, you've already lost your freedom. But when you anchor yourself in God's faithfulness, no voice—no matter how loud or close—can pull you off course.

John 12:42-43 (NKJV) — "Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God." This is the crossroads where so many of God's people remain stuck, family. You cannot serve two masters—the applause of people or the approval of the Almighty. Choose whom you will please.

Galatians 1:10 (KJV) — "For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ." Paul understood this liberating truth: the moment you stop performing for human validation, you become free to fulfill divine assignment. Your yes to God's call is your no to every small-minded critique.

Walking It Out

1. Write down the three biggest doubters in your life—then release them. Not from your life necessarily, but from their authority over your destiny. On paper, name the voices that have made you hesitate. Then literally cross them out and write above them: "God's word stands." This symbolic act rewires your heart.

2. Identify one specific goal or dream you've postponed because of criticism. Today, take one small action toward it—make one call, send one email, research one step. Let this act be your declaration that you're taking back the territory doubt stole from you.

3. Find an accountability partner who believes in your God-given vision. Don't stay surrounded by nay-sayers. Seek out at least one person of faith who will speak life over your dreams and remind you of God's promises when criticism comes creeping back in.

A Prayer for You

Father, I come to You today ready to walk away from the prison of other people's opinions. Strengthen my backbone and clarify my vision so that I can see myself the way You see me—not through the lens of doubt or fear, but through the eyes of infinite possibility. Remove every person's voice that does not align with Your purpose for my life, and give me the courage to move forward even when I move forward alone. I choose You, Lord, and I choose the destiny You've written for me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
