It's Not Over Until God Says Its Over. Keep The Faith, God Will See You Through

We live in a world that tells you, you should get everything you want. Society tells us to pursue our desires at all costs. If we can dream it, we should get it. The temptations and the desires of the flesh are unrelenting. They eat at your spirit and consume your mind with the desire of what could be. As believers, we wrestle with temptations everyday; the love of money, coveting others materials, greed, jealousy and so much more. Because of our flaws, we sometimes give in to those things and suffer the consequences.

Temptations can often trick us into believing that what we desire is necessary. If we yield to it, those same desires can distract our thinking and lead us to destruction. YET, THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOUR DESIRES AND GOD'S WILL FOR YOUR LIFE.

Temptations are often detours to realizing the promises of God. Whatever you need, God has already made provisions for it, because God loves us. Our desires can cause pain and heartache when we do not lean on the saving grace of Jesus to lead us to what God has promised. When we do it our way, we will never reap the bountiful rewards of God. “Yield not to temptation” and subdue the passions that burn inside of you. Look to Jesus for comfort and healing, for He will carry you through.

Scripture for Meditation

1 Timothy 6:10 (KJV)"For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." Beloved, Paul is not saying money itself is evil—it is the love of it that destroys. When you chase wealth instead of righteousness, you pierce your own soul with unnecessary pain. Let this verse anchor you: your provision comes from God's hand, not from your desperation.

Proverbs 23:4-5 (NKJV)"Do not overwork to be rich; Because of your own understanding, cease. Will you set your eyes on that which is not? For riches certainly make themselves wings; They fly away like an eagle toward heaven." Family, the world's riches are temporary and unstable. God's promises, however, are eternal and unshakeable. Stop exhausting yourself chasing what will not last.

Matthew 6:33 (KJV)"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." This is the master key to financial peace. When you prioritize God's kingdom over your wants, He takes responsibility for your needs. Trust His order; it always works.

Walking It Out

1. Write down three financial desires you're chasing right now. Next to each one, honestly ask yourself: "Is this God's will for me, or is this the flesh speaking?" Bring this list to prayer and ask the Holy Spirit to redirect your heart toward God's actual promises for your life.

2. Create a "provision journal" for the next 30 days. Each day, write down one way God provided for you—whether it was a unexpected check, a meal shared with family, wisdom that saved you money, or simple peace. This builds your faith muscle and trains your eyes to see God's faithfulness.

3. Give something away today—your time, a meal, or money—as an act of surrender. When you release your grip on resources, you're declaring that God, not your bank account, is your source. Generosity breaks the spirit of lack and invites God's abundance.

A Prayer for You

Father God, I come to You today laying down every desire that is not aligned with Your will for my life. Forgive me for the times I have chased after money, status, and things that cannot satisfy my soul. Strengthen me with the courage to say "no" to temptation and "yes" to Your perfect provision. Help me to see clearly what You have already promised me, and give me the faith to wait on Your timing, knowing that it is never too late and it is never over until You say it is over. I submit my financial life entirely to You and trust You to care for me and my family according to Your riches in glory. In Jesus' name, Amen.
