It takes courage to give when you’re still becoming
Change doesn’t just ask for movement. Sometimes it asks for sacrifice.
When we talk about courage, we often think of leaving jobs, ending relationships, or stepping into the unknown. But there’s another kind of courage that’s quieter, more personal—and just as powerful:
The courage to give when you’re still in the middle of becoming.
It’s one thing to give when everything is stable. It’s another thing to sow into your future while you're still healing from your past.
That kind of giving is faith. It says, “God, I trust You enough to let go of what’s in my hand—because I believe You’re building something bigger in me.”
At ROHO, we never take your support for granted. This ministry has reached millions because people like you believed in the message before they saw the miracle.
If this series is blessing you, I ask you to do something bold today: Sow into what God is doing through ROHO. Let your gift be a statement of courage—a declaration that you are part of something greater than yourself.
A Prayer for You: “Lord, give me the courage to release what I’ve been holding onto in fear. Let my giving today be a seed of faith—evidence that I trust You to carry me into new territory. As I sow into this ministry, I pray You multiply it, bless it, and use it to reach someone who needs hope today. And as I give, keep growing me. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
Scripture for Meditation
2 Corinthians 9:6-7 (KJV) — "But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he hath purposed in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver."
Beloved, Paul is telling you that your giving doesn't have to be massive to matter—what matters is the heart behind it. When you sow from a place of joy and trust, even in your becoming, God honors that sacrifice. You're not giving from abundance; you're giving from faith, and that moves the heart of God.
Proverbs 3:9-10 (NKJV) — "Honor the Lord with your possessions, and with the firstfruits of all your increase; so your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine."
Family, honoring God with what you have—even while you're healing, even while you're growing—positions you for God's overflow. This isn't about scarcity; it's about priority. When you give first to what matters eternally, God releases provision that covers your becoming.
Hebrews 11:1 (KJV) — "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
Your giving when you're still becoming is the evidence of your faith. It's tangible proof that you believe God is faithful. That gift you're about to sow is not weakness—it's the strongest declaration of trust you can make.
Walking It Out
Step 1: Identify Your Giving Amount Today. Don't wait for perfect circumstances or complete healing. Right now, determine what you can sow into ROHO—whether it's $5, $25, or $100. Let the amount be secondary to the act of courage.
Step 2: Write Down What You're Releasing. Before you give, write one fear or doubt you've been holding onto. As you sow your gift, symbolically release that fear to God. Your giving becomes a spiritual declaration that you're moving forward.
Step 3: Share Your Testimony. Tell someone in your circle what you did today and why. Your courage to give while becoming will inspire others to believe God in their own unfinished seasons.
A Prayer for You
Father, I come before You acknowledging that I'm not finished yet—but I'm bold enough to give anyway. Take this gift as evidence of my trust in You, as a seed planted in faith for what You're building through ROHO and through my own life. Multiply this offering, use it to reach the broken-hearted, and continue the work of transformation in me as I learn what it means to give when I'm still becoming. Let my courage today plant courage in someone else who needs to know that God is faithful. In Jesus' name, Amen.
