It is Because of Everything You have been Through, God Has Chosen You For Such A Time As This

Share

Have you felt like you have fallen out of favor with god? Have you abandoned your faith or your calling? Don’t believe the lie of the enemy! You will never be too far where God’s love can’t reach you. Now is the time to turn back to God.

Romans 8:38 ( tells us that there is nothing that can keep God from loving us and wanting to save us. It says “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.””

God wants us to live abundant lives and he is willing to give us victory if you are willing to turn back to him. He wants to bring us to a place where we are contented and happy; God does not delight in his people’s suffering. All he is asking is that we come to him, forsake the things that are not good for us, and he will lead us into a successful life.

There are going to be moments in your life where you will feel confusion and doubt, yet these are opportunities to draw closer to God. Don’t let your circumstances and the enemy trick you into thinking God has walked away. God is always near. He reminds us in his word---"Behold I stand at the Door and Knock, if anyone would open up. I will sup with him and he with me." (Revelation 3:20) All God needs is for you to crack the door of your heart--open up and let him in. God's grace will do the rest.

Here is a prayer to help you when you feel reconnected to God:

“Father God, you promised to never leave nor forsake me. I believe your Word and trust that it will not return unto you void. However, there are moments where I feel distant and disconnected from your spirit. My prayer is that you would fall fresh on me oh God. Reveal your glory in my life. I open my heart to you and ask you to come in.

Scripture for Meditation

Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV) — "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."

Beloved, God has not forgotten you. Even in the seasons when you felt abandoned, when your choices led you astray, the Lord's blueprints for your life remained intact. Your struggles were never accidents—they were preparation. The very pain you endured is now the platform from which God will demonstrate His redemptive power through you.

Isaiah 43:18-19 (NKJV) — "Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert."

God is not inviting you to dwell in regret. He is calling you forward into newness. The very ground you thought was barren—the broken relationships, the abandoned dreams, the seasons of doubt—God will transform into a river of blessing that flows through your life and into the lives of those around you.

2 Timothy 2:12 (KJV) — "If we suffer with him, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us."

Your testimony is not a liability; it is a credential. Every trial you survived, every dark night you walked through, every time you returned to God—this is your authority. Others need to hear from someone who understands their pain, not from someone who escaped it.

Walking It Out

First, write down three specific areas where you have felt separated from God—whether through your own choices or circumstances. Beside each, write one truth from Scripture that counters that lie. Read these aloud daily for the next week. Let God's Word begin to rewire how you see your story.

Second, reach out to one person in your relational circle—a spouse, family member, or friend—and have an honest conversation about a time you felt distant from them or from God. Name it. Don't hide it. This vulnerability will crack the door open for reconciliation and deepen trust in that relationship.

Third, identify one concrete way your past pain has prepared you to help someone else. Whether it is marriage counsel because you have walked through marital struggle, mentoring because you have overcome addiction, or simply listening because you have known abandonment—step into that assignment this week. Your purpose is waiting on the other side of your pain.

A Prayer for You

Father God, I thank You that my past does not disqualify me from my future. I repent of the shame that has kept me hiding, and I release the lies that told me I was too far gone for Your love. Today, I open the door of my heart and invite Your presence back in. Heal the broken places in my relationships—restore what the enemy meant to destroy, and use every lesson I have learned to build others up. I stand on Your promise that nothing can separate me from Your love, and I walk forward into the destiny You have prepared for me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
