Invest in Our Community’s Wellness

Share

God’s Word declares, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” (3 John 1:2, KJV). Wellness is not only personal—it is communal. When one of us is strong, we all are lifted. When one of us is healed, the whole community breathes easier.

That is why wellness is more than medicine; it is a ministry. It is a justice issue. It is making sure our children grow up with hope, our elders walk with dignity, and our families thrive in body and spirit.

ROHO’s mission is to speak life daily into your situation, but also into the heart of our community. Every devotional is a seed of encouragement, a reminder that God’s promises are still true, and that healing is possible for us all. But to continue this work, we need your partnership.

When you give, you are not just sustaining a ministry—you are investing in the wellness of the Black family, the Black church, and the generations yet to come. Genesis 26:12 tells us: “Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him.” When you sow into ROHO, you are sowing into a community harvest that God Himself will increase.

🌱 Your seed today is a step toward stronger souls, healthier families, and a more faithful community. (

Prayer: Lord, we thank Thee for the gift of health and the blessing of community. Strengthen every family, heal every wound, and pour out abundance where there has been lack. May the seeds we sow today bear fruit in lives restored, bodies renewed, and a community made whole. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Beloved, sow with expectation today—knowing that the health of our community and the strength of our faith grow with every seed planted.

Scripture for Meditation

Proverbs 22:6"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." When we invest in community wellness, we are not just healing today—we are shaping the spiritual and physical foundations of generations to come. Your commitment to this work plants seeds of faith that will bear fruit long after you have gone home to glory.

1 Thessalonians 5:23"And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." Beloved, God cares about all of you—spirit, soul, and body. When you give to community wellness, you are honoring God's design for wholeness in every dimension of our lives.

Philippians 2:4"Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others." This is the heart of Christian community: we are called to see beyond ourselves and tend to the needs of those around us. Your partnership with ROHO is a living testimony to this Scripture.

Walking It Out

Make a commitment to give monthly to ROHO's wellness ministry. Whether it is ten dollars or one hundred, consistency matters. Your regular seed waters the ground for community healing. Set a reminder on your phone so this becomes a spiritual discipline, not an afterthought.

Share one ROHO devotional with someone in your circle who is struggling spiritually or physically. Forward it by text, email, or print it out. Your voice saying, "I thought of you when I read this," is itself a healing balm.

Pray specifically for one family in your church or neighborhood who is facing a health crisis. Intercede for their complete healing—body and soul. Then ask how you might support them practically: a meal, a hospital visit, or simply showing up with the Word.

A Prayer for You

Lord, open my eyes to see the sickness in my community and the power I have to help heal it. Give me a generous heart that recognizes every dollar I sow is a seed You will multiply for our children and our children's children. Strengthen my resolve to stand with ROHO in this sacred work of speaking life into the Black family. And Father, as I give, heal me too—mend what is broken in my own spirit, restore what has been lost, and make me whole so that I can pour out to others from a full cup. In Jesus' name, Amen.
