If you’ve ever wondered, “What am I really here for?”
This morning, I woke up humming a song I hadn’t heard in a while. Isn’t it something how the Holy Spirit can bring a melody into your spirit at just the right moment? That’s how I knew this wasn’t just a song—it was a reminder.
Today we’re reflecting on relationships—those that build us, and those that we’ve had to release. These songs carried me through some of my own quiet seasons, and I wanted to share them with you in case they speak to you too.

Scripture for Meditation
"And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise." Luke 6:31 (KJV)
Beloved, this is the foundation of every relationship that matters. When we treat others—whether in marriage, friendship, or family—with the same tenderness we desire for ourselves, we're not just being nice. We're reflecting the heart of Jesus, who gave everything so we could be restored to Him.
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)
Sometimes we carry the weight of broken relationships like stones in our pockets. But family, when you surrender those hurts to Christ, He doesn't just bandage them—He transforms them. Your past doesn't define your future relationships; His grace does.
"Wherefore comfort one another with these words." 1 Thessalonians 4:18 (KJV)
The relationships God plants in your life aren't random. They're assignments. You're here to comfort, to strengthen, to remind others of their worth in Christ. That's your purpose in relational ministry.
Walking It Out
Reach out to one person today whom you've been distant from—not to resolve everything at once, but simply to say, "I was thinking of you, and I'm grateful for you." A text, a call, a note. Let them know they matter.
Release one relationship to God that you've been trying to control or fix. Write it down, pray over it, and deliberately choose to trust God with the outcome instead of carrying that burden into tomorrow.
Invest in one relationship intentionally this week—whether it's your spouse, a child, a friend, or a family member. Show up fully present. Listen like Jesus listens. Be the relationship ambassador God is calling you to be.
A Prayer for You
Father, thank You for placing people in my life who matter—those who've built me up and even those who've hurt me. Help me see every relationship as an opportunity to reflect Your love and grace. Heal the broken places in my heart, and give me wisdom to nurture the connections You've entrusted to me. I release what I cannot control and embrace the purpose You've given me in relationships. In Jesus' name, Amen.
