I know it sounds like a cliché, but trusting God is worth it. You will receive a blessing far sweeter than you ever imagined
My father used to tell me, "ROHO there are some things that only experience can teach you." And the more I live, the more i realize how true that statement is. As we enter the Christmas season and I think about how Jesus was born in a manger, with not even his own bed. I realize that God was trying to Teach us a lesson. God was trying to tell us, that YOU ARE NOT DEFINED BY HOW YOU ARE BORN. AND! YOU CAN AND YOU WILL OURGROW YOUR DIFFICULT SITUATION.
My best friend reminded me of this lessone several years ago. Its a story I will never forget, His car had just broken down on the side of a road in South Carolina, he had no money, and was already behind in his rent. He has recently started a new business and he was on his way to meet a new client for lunch. He was tired, frustrated and hurt. And as he talked to me, waiting for Road Side assistance, he said, "ROHO, this is terrible right now, my car just broke down, I have no money, but where I am is not who I am." These words stuck with me like few other times in my life. I knew immediately that he was talking to himself, motivating himself, not me. But he blessed me that day and when I have been at my lowest, unsure of how I was going to make it, I told myself those same words, "ROHO, where I am is not who I am."
Life is guaranteed to have trials and tribulations. You may wish for all good days with clear skies, however the Bible says," The rains fall on the just and unjust" Therefore you will have your share of moments of turmoil and despair. I know you are going through some struggles right now, and I just want to speak into your life, and remind you of God's truth concerning you. If you find yourself at your wits end and you feel like giving you, SPEAK THIS DIVINE TRUTH OVER YOURSELF---GOD HAS DESTINED ME FOR GREATER, BECAUSE WHERE I AM IS NOT WHO IS AM.
I just wanted to tell you spiritual family every time you speak online you always have a word for my spirit for me I just wanted to say thank you and I had to start donating because it is good what you’re doing.I am blessed and I receive the words that you have been giving me because they have been confirmation, thank you for being obedient and rightly dividing the word of truth which is the word of God to the people of God amen.
Scripture for Meditation
Romans 8:28 (KJV) — "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."
Beloved, your broken-down car, your empty bank account, your delayed dreams — God is not surprised by any of it. He is working these very circumstances into your testimony, into your strength, into the blessing He has already prepared for you.
2 Corinthians 4:17-18 (NKJV) — "For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen."
What you see right now — the struggle, the setback — is temporary. But what God is building in your character, your faith, your capacity to endure is eternal. Family, your circumstances are not your destiny.
Proverbs 23:7 (KJV) — "For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he."
When your friend said, "Where I am is not who I am," he was speaking from the truth of God's Word. Your identity is rooted in Christ, not in your current address or your current account balance. Guard your thoughts like the treasure they are.
Walking It Out
Speak your identity aloud today. When discouragement whispers lies about who you are, say back to yourself with authority: "Where I am is not who I am. I am a child of God. I am called. I am destined for more." Say it in the mirror. Say it in your car. Let your ears hear what your spirit knows to be true.
Write down one past trial you overcame. Take five minutes to journal or reflect on a time when you thought you wouldn't make it through — and yet you did. God brought you through then. He will bring you through now. Keep this written testimony where you can see it when the next storm comes.
Reach out to someone in your struggle. Just as your friend blessed you that day on the roadside, be the voice of faith for someone else who is facing their own wilderness. Your experience is not just for you — it is ammunition for someone else's battle.
A Prayer for You
Father God, I come before You knowing that my present circumstances do not determine my future destiny. You have already written my story, and every trial I face is working together for my good and Your glory. Help me to speak truth to myself when fear and doubt try to define me — remind me daily that I am who You say I am, not what my situation says I am. Give me the courage to trust You in this season, and open my eyes to see the blessings You are preparing even now. Thank You for loving me too much to let me stay where I am. In Jesus' name, Amen.
