Here Is A Fact About God: I Have Never Seen The Righteous Forsaken, nor his children begging Bread

Share

A few years ago I was in a prayer service and I noticed a men seated in the back of the church. He sat there completely still listening to the prayers and the testimonies being offered by the other church goers. In the weeks following I noticed this same men, seated in the same section. I approached him one night and asked, “I’ve noticed you come to prayer service every week but you always sit in the back and not say anything”—-he responded to me “Reverend, you will never know how much encouragement I get from just hearing these testimonies. I have a very stressful job and I love coming here just to hear how God is moving in other peoples lives”. The testimonies of other people can be your source of strength.

I’ve included a testimony from a ROHO Subscriber that I pray will bless your soul.

Prayer is our soul's sincere desire to commune with God. Prayer gives you access to God. I can see God's hand upon your life and I stand in agreement with you that God will help you and deliver you no matter what situation.

Take a few minutes out of your day and lift up your petitions to God.

RECEIVED FRIDAY Night 11:50 PM Est (

"Greetings Reverend Richards, I want to thank you for calling me yesterday. It was great to spend a few minutes talking to you about whats going on. 've been reading your emails for 2 years and it was good to hear your voice. When you called me it just made me think back over my life and everything I’m going through that I still have so much to be grateful for, and yes, the enemy has stolen a lot as well. To make a long story short, I have been living in a dark place for some time now.

Going from having a roof over my head, employed, making a decent salary financing a vehicle drawing closer to God, going to church faithfully, meeting bible study regularly, just living what I would consider a content life. And seem like just out of the blue my whole life flips upside down.

My health started to deteriorate, the enemy started attacking me in every area of my body, got to the point where I wasn’t even able to walk anymore without using a walker. I lost my job, my apartment, my vehicle, and my health is still spiraling downward. I need the help of Jesus and the Prayer Warriors...This ministry is the only thing that keeps me hopeful every day...Thank you." (Phyllis Mattison--Bronx, New York)

Scripture for Meditation

Psalm 37:25 (KJV) — "I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread." This is not wishful thinking, beloved—it is the testimony of a seasoned saint who watched God's faithfulness across a lifetime. When you are tempted to doubt God's provision, remember that the righteous have never been left without. God's supply is as certain as His character.

Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV) — "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." The testimony you just heard is what happens when someone stops carrying their burden alone and brings it before the throne. Your petition released becomes your peace received.

Proverbs 27:12 (KJV) — "A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished." Just as that man in the back pew was wise to position himself in a place of spiritual strength, you too must intentionally place yourself where God's testimony can reach your ear and restore your hope.

Walking It Out

1. Attend a prayer service or Bible study this week — Do not wait for a crisis to remind you that you need the community of faith. Like the man in the back, position yourself where you can hear how God moves. Let someone else's victory become the oxygen your faith needs to breathe.

2. Share your testimony with one person today — Your story of God's faithfulness is not yours alone to keep. Reach out to a friend, a family member, or even a stranger and tell them how God has shown up for you. You may be the exact encouragement someone needs to keep believing.

3. Write down three ways God has provided for you in the past — Take pen to paper and document His faithfulness. When doubt creeps in tomorrow, these written reminders become proof that the God who fed you yesterday has not retired from the business of blessing you today.

A Prayer for You

Father, I come before You today with a grateful heart, thanking You that You have never left the righteous without supply, without strength, without hope. I lift up the eyes of my understanding to see how You have already proven Yourself faithful in my life, and I ask You to strengthen my faith for the road ahead. Open my ears to hear the testimonies of Your people, and open my mouth to speak the wonders You have worked in me, that others may be encouraged and draw near to You. Guard my heart from the lie that I am alone in my struggle, and remind me daily that You stand in the gap for Your children. I am believing You for breakthrough, for provision, for peace that passes understanding. In Jesus' name, Amen.
