God Will Surround You With Love, Providing Hope in The Midst of The Storm

** MORNING INSPIRATION: God pulls good out of evil and makes progress out of pain. Remember God's not finished yet.

It seems as though there is a pervasive belief that so many of us hold that “I am not worth it and I’m undeserving.” The question “what makes my life matter?” is one of the most important questions you have to answer.

One of the main challenges in life, is the amount of influnce we allow other people to have in our lives. Because of the lies we have been told from other people, many of us believe that we are undeserving of love, forgiveness, or care. In the past, when other loved ones, or even co-workers would show compassion or kindness to someone else, I would often have feelings of guilt and shame because “I don’t deserve it.”

** But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” While we were yet sinners… when we least deserved it… when we were not “worth it” by any earthly standard… that is the very time when Christ made the greatest sacrifice and showed the most powerful act of love in all of history. So yes there are some people who will say “no, no you don’t deserve the forgiveness of your family, or the kindness of those you have hurt and done wrong,” But the great beauty of god is this, even though you don't desrve God's mercy, you get it anyway. I have received abundant grace and mercy in spite of my own shortcomings and mistakes. The same abundant grace and mercy available to You. You do not deserve it, but Praise me to God that he does treat us like our sins desrve. Whatever you have done, whatever mistake you have made, whatever pain you have caused-- Leave it at the alter of God. Lay down your guilt and accept God's forgiveness.

Scripture for Meditation

Romans 5:8 (KJV): "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

Beloved, this is the foundation of your worth. Your value was not determined by your performance, your mistakes, or the judgments of others—it was sealed by the blood of Christ when you were at your lowest. Let this truth dismantle every lie that whispers you are undeserving.

Ephesians 3:17-19 (NKJV): "That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God."

God's love is not a small thing you must earn—it is a vast ocean meant to surround and sustain you. When you are rooted in His love, you gain the power to reject the shame others have placed upon you and walk in the fullness He has already provided.

1 John 4:10 (KJV): "Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins."

The initiative was always God's. You did not have to clean yourself up first or prove yourself worthy. His love reached you in your brokenness, family, and that same love is still reaching for you today.

Walking It Out

Identify one lie you've believed about your worth — Write it down. It might sound like "I don't deserve forgiveness" or "My mistakes make me unlovable." Now write the Scripture truth that contradicts it. Speak it aloud three times this week. Your ears need to hear what your heart is learning.

Receive one act of kindness without guilt — When someone offers you compassion, help, or encouragement today, accept it fully. Don't minimize it. Don't say "I don't deserve this." Say "Thank you." Practice receiving love the way Christ received your worship—openly, without apology.

Extend undeserved grace to someone who hurt you — Just as God gave you mercy you didn't earn, choose one person who has wronged you and decide to show them kindness anyway. This isn't about forgetting the hurt; it's about breaking the cycle of shame and proving to yourself that grace is real.

A Prayer for You

Father, I come to You today laying down every accusation I've believed about myself. I release the shame that others have spoken over me, and I reject the lie that I am unworthy of Your love and the love of those around me. Just as Christ died for me while I was yet a sinner, help me to live in that reality—rooted, grounded, and surrounded by Your love in the midst of this storm. Give me the courage to receive grace without guilt and to extend it to others as I have received it. Thank You for not waiting for me to deserve it. In Jesus' name, Amen.
