God Will Not Withhold Any Good Thing From You. "A StoreHouse Of Goodness and A Cup That Overflows"
I know we live in a world that tells you to be in a constant pursuit for the NEXT BIG THING. In fact many people are Planning their 5 and 10 years Goals Right now. Everyday you wake up to a new instagram Ad or Facebook Commercial telling you that what you have is not enough. All Over our TV screens the desire for more is constantly forced upon us. You need a bigger house, you need a bigger car, you need more children, you need a better job. It is no wonder why there is such a desperate need for peace in our lives. It is impossible to have peace when you are in a contact state of pursuit. PEACE COMES WHEN YOU EXPRESS GRATITUDE TO GOD.
One of my favorite scriptures is taken from Matthew 6: 25-34: "“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
Contentment is one of the most important spiritual disciplines. Contentment centers your thoughts and actions on the sufficiency of God. God wants you to trust him with all your wants and needs. There are times when I feel confused and anxious and I simply take a few moments and begin to remind myself of the blessings God has already brought into my life. I sometimes find myself sitting in bed just telling god thank-you. Thank you god for his house. Thank you for my family. Thank you for my health and strength. Thank you for a sound mind. This will be one of the most important spiritual disciplines you will ever do. WHAT ARE YOU GRATEFUL FOR? HOW HAS GOD BLESSED YOU?

TODAY'S Prayer: Dear God, You know my heart and you know that I love you. I’m trying to do my best to follow after you, but sometimes I lose focus. Please remind me of your goodness towards me. Slow down my racing mind and help me to be centered on what you have already done in my life. Let me recall the ways you have already made for me. I pray that you would flood my soul with the peace that comes from trusting you. I want to be more grateful. I want to trust you more. Please calm my fears and strengthen my faith in you. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.
