God Knows Where to Find You

Share

There are moments in life when it feels like you’ve been forgotten — by people, by opportunity, even by purpose. You’ve done everything you know to do. You’ve prayed. You’ve been faithful. And yet, the door you’re waiting on hasn’t opened.

But I want to remind you this morning: God knows exactly where to find you.

David wasn’t in the palace when the prophet came looking for a king — he was out in the fields, tending sheep. Ruth wasn’t in a boardroom — she was gathering leftover grain in a field. Mary wasn’t in a temple — she was in a small town called Nazareth.

God found each of them right where they were, doing what seemed ordinary, and turned it into something extraordinary.

You don’t have to chase recognition. You don’t have to prove your worth. The God who called you has not lost your address. And when the time is right, His favor will locate you, even if you’re standing in the back of the line.

So today, stop worrying about being overlooked. God has a divine schedule for your life. When it’s your turn, you won’t have to force it — He will find you.

“I’ve been experiencing such peace since I finally decided to stop striving and start trusting what God’s been telling me. These messages from ROHO remind me that I don’t have to chase what’s already mine in Christ.

Scripture for Meditation

1 Samuel 16:11-12 (KJV) — "And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither. And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the Lord said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he."

David was so overlooked that his own father didn't even bring him to the prophet's gathering. Yet God knew exactly where to find him — in the pasture, hidden from sight. Beloved, your obscurity is not your disqualification. God sees what man misses, and He moves according to His timing, not the world's visibility.

Ruth 3:11 (NKJV) — "And now it is true that I am a close relative; however, there is a relative closer than I."

Ruth worked in the fields, gathering grain, unaware that her faithfulness was being observed by a man of influence. She wasn't networking or self-promoting. She was simply faithful in her obscurity, and God positioned her redemption accordingly. Your hidden faithfulness has a witness in heaven.

Luke 1:26-27 (KJV) — "And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary."

Mary was in a small, insignificant town when the angel found her. She hadn't positioned herself for greatness; she was simply available where God placed her. This is the secret: availability beats ambition. God's promotion finds you in obedience.

Walking It Out

1. Tend your current assignment with excellence today. Whether it's your job, your relationships, your responsibilities at home, or your volunteer work — do it as unto the Lord. David mastered the fields before he ruled the kingdom. Don't despise small beginnings; excel in them. This is how God proves He can trust you with more.

2. Stop checking the door and start checking your heart. Write down one area where you've been striving or forcing a door open. Release it to God in prayer this morning. Ask Him what He wants you to focus on right now, in this season, rather than what you're waiting on. Listen for His voice.

3. Share this word with someone who needs to hear it. Forward this devotional to a family member or friend who's been discouraged about their calling. Your encouragement might be the very thing that steadies their faith. Sometimes God finds us through the words He gives another to share.

A Prayer for You

Father, I thank You that You have not forgotten me and You will not overlook what belongs to me in Christ. Forgive me for striving when You called me to trust, for chasing when You promised to find me. Strengthen my heart to remain faithful in this season, to excel in what You
