God Is Still Working With What You Have Left
Your trust in God is never wasted. Every good seed you have planted in faith, in prayer, and in love will return to you multiplied.
But I know there are moments when it feels like you have missed your moment. You look back at opportunities that slipped away, years that feel wasted, or relationships that never turned out the way you hoped. Regret can make you bow your head and convince you that the best part of your story has already passed.
I have been there. I know what it is like to live with the weight of what could have been. But here is what I have learned: God cannot change what is behind you, but He can bless what is still in front of you.
Stop mourning what is over and start trusting what is left. Because God can take whatever remains, the pieces, the fragments, the remnants, and build something beautiful again.
“And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten.” — Joel 2:25 (KJV)
God has not forgotten you. He is not done with you. Your story is still unfolding, and the blessings that are coming will not be small. They will be pressed down, shaken together, and running over.
Lift your head. There is still more for you to see.

Scripture for Meditation
Joel 2:25 (KJV): "And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you."
Beloved, God does not merely patch up what was broken—He restores what was stolen. The locusts of missed opportunities, poor decisions, and timing that felt like betrayal have taken their season, but they do not have the final word. Your God specializes in recovery and restoration.
Luke 12:6-7 (KJV): "Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows."
You are not forgotten in your struggle, family. God's attention to the smallest creature reminds us that He sees your pain, your loss, your reaching. What feels insignificant to the world is precious to Him.
2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (KJV): "We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed."
Your current state is not your final destination. Pressure does not equal defeat when you are standing on the Rock of Christ.
Walking It Out
1. Inventory what remains, not what is lost. Today, write down three things you still have—a skill, a relationship, a resource, a promise God has given you. Stop counting the locusts and start counting the seed still in your hand.
2. Plant one act of faith with what is left. Whether it is tithing from a small check, speaking encouragement to someone who needs it, or taking one step toward a delayed dream, show God you trust Him with the remainder. Faith in the small thing unlocks the greater thing.
3. Speak Joel 2:25 over your life aloud. Do not whisper it. Declare it. Your mouth has power. Command the years, the relationships, the opportunities to be restored. Speak life over your future.
A Prayer for You
Father, I come before You today with the fragments of what I thought would be, and I ask You to work with what is left. Forgive me for mourning yesterday so long that I missed the blessings of today. Restore to me the years that felt wasted, and multiply what remains in my hands. Give me eyes to see possibility instead of loss, and give me courage to plant seeds of faith in the soil of my future. I stand in agreement with Your Word that I am not finished, that my best chapters are still ahead, and that Your restoration over my life is real. In Jesus' name, Amen.
