God Has Bigger Plans For You Than You Can Dream For Yourself
When I was in seminary, my preaching professor told me, it is the job of every preacher to "preach to the enemy of the text". He said there is something in every sermon that makes people not want to listen and continue to live their normal lives. I realize that the enemy within many of us is the fact that what God is telling you to do is so simple, so plain, that you try to overcomplicate it. We tell ourselves, "it can't be that easy, there has to be more to it".
In Genesis 19:26, the scripture says, "But Lot’s wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt."
This is one of the clearest stories in the entire Bible. God has a way of making things so plain, so visible that there can be no mistake about what God is saying to us. The Holy Spirit has been leading me in such a clear path recently, that if I do not listen, I cannot claim ignorance, I can only claim disobedience.
God is speaking directly to you. There are some clear instructions you have to follow as you enter this next leg of your journey. The more I read your testimonies or talk with several of you over the phone, I can tell God has been preparing you for something special. There is an outpouring of purpose that you will receive in this season like never before and one of the most important things you have to do right now is to KEEP MOVING FORWARD.
The past has a way of always seeming so much better than it actually was. That is one of the struggles we must all conquer. There is a reason you left that relationship, there is a reason you left that job. You knew that we deserved better than those people were treating you. But now as you await your next assignment, those past people and past situations can start to seem real attractive. But I pray God's strength would equip you to not look back. Your blessing is never in what was lost, your blessing is always in what will be! Peace,
