From Everlasting To EverLasting, The Goodness Of God Is Upon Your Life

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE READING: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. … Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” Philippians 4:6,8

A few years ago, I was preparing for our annual 3-Day Revival at my home Church. As the Choir Sang, "I feel seasons everywhere, And I feel blessings in the air, Those seeds that you've sown, It's time to come into your own, Seasons, walk into your season". It was the First night of revival and everything was going as planned. Then all of a sudden the Lead singer stopped singing and was laying on the floor surrounded by his fellow Choir members. The entire church fell silent. The elders and the church mothers began praying, the medical professionals were called. After about 30 Minutes we were notified the singer was called Home to God. Yet in the midst of the intense sadness and grief, there was a sense of spiritual peace, because we all knew the singer was at rest with God. The true calling on my life and your life is to be at peace with God.

There are times I think back to that rainy fall night and I realize that even in Death God will teach you some incredible lessons. I know many of you are living in unprecedented times where it feels like you are going through one thing after another. Yet God is calling you today, to remember the promises he made to you long ago. When I feel lost Here are the lessons I reflect on during challenging times.

1. Life is short. Live your life as authentically as you can, For no one knows the day nor the hour when our name will be called up yonder.

2. God is a keeper. This entire year I have been saying this statement, because we are so used to talking about God as a healer and as a deliverer, but 2021 has taught us that God is also a keeper. Sometimes God does not take the pain away. Sometimes God does not end the suffering. There are some storms you MUST endure. Yet while you are in the storm, God will keep you. God will give you the grace to lift up your head in the midst of the Storm.

3. You cannot make it in this world by yourself. No man is an island, and COVID continues to teach has us that we need each other like ever before. Our mission at ROHO is to keep you connected to God and this year I have read your prayer request and testimonies about the ways God is moving in your life. You need me and I need you. We are part of God's family.
