Even Now, I Will Praise the Lord
Morning Prayer: MY LIFE BEGAN WHEN I STOPPED LOOKING AT EVERYONE ELSE'S LIFE. (READ: PSALM 51)
We all are human. Now, you might be wondering why I even have to say that. You may be thinking, “Of course I’m human — what else would I be?” But stay with me for a moment, because there’s something powerful in remembering it.
To be human is to be flawed. To be human is to be imperfect. Our humanity means we’ll have good days and bad days — moments of triumph and moments of doubt. Sometimes we stand between our best selves and our lowest selves, constantly searching for balance between the two.
The Bible reminds us that we are “fearfully and wonderfully made.” (Psalm 139:14) Yet even in that wonder, there are days when we question whether we have the strength to press on. There are moments when our confidence wavers, when defeat whispers louder than hope. And it’s in those moments, my friend, that we need a spiritual attitude adjustment.
The Psalms beautifully capture this tension — faith and doubt, joy and sorrow, courage and fear all living in the same heart. The psalmist begins with praise, declaring that “God is our refuge and strength.” But as the verses unfold, you can hear the struggle of a weary soul wrestling with uncertainty. That is the human experience. Even the most devoted believer will have days when faith feels faint.
But here’s the good news: God remains good, even when we lose sight of His goodness.
Your charge as a believer is to grab hold of those thoughts of fear and cast them down before they take root. When your humanity starts to overwhelm you, that’s your invitation to lean into divinity — to call on the strength of God to renew your mind and restore your focus.
God understands your struggle. He knows the push and pull of your heart. And yet, His mercy never runs out. His love never wavers. Scripture declares, “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” (James 4:8)
So today, don’t carry your burdens alone. Reach out — in prayer, in faith, in fellowship. God is waiting to meet you in that space between your weakness and His strength.

Thank You for being present even in my darkest moments. When I turn away, You remain near. When I lose my way, Your grace still finds me.
Right now, Lord, I seek Your face. Set me free from the weight of my past. Be my comfort when I am weary, and my peace when my spirit feels unsettled.
Draw me closer to You each day, and remind me that Your love never leaves.
