Christmas Morning With Immanuel
“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” – John 1:14 (KJV)
For weeks, we have been talking about the pressure, the pushing, and the "night-shift" of the soul. We have been looking at the stars and waiting for the shift. But this morning, we don’t have to look up to find God; we can look beside us.
Emmanuel has arrived. God is with us.
He didn’t arrive in a way the world expected. He didn't come with a political decree or a military parade. He came as a seed. He came as a cry in a cold stable. He came "swaddled"—restricted in human cloth so that you could be released in spiritual glory.
Whatever you are facing this morning, know that the Gift is already in the room. * If there is chaos in your house, the Prince of Peace is in the room. * If there is lack in your pantry, the Bread of Life is in the room. * If there is sickness in your body, the Great Physician is in the room.
The miracle of Christmas isn't just that a Baby was born 2,000 years ago; it’s that the same Christ-Spirit is available to be born in your circumstances today. You don't have to wait for "better days" to experience God. He specializes in entering "manger moments"—the messy, unpolished, and overlooked parts of our lives—and turning them into monuments of His mercy.
Today, stop worrying about what didn't get done or what hasn't arrived yet. Look at what is here. Look at the Grace that sustained you. Look at the Love that found you.
The labor is over. The Life has begun. Unto you a child is born. Unto you a son is given.
Merry Christmas, Beloved. Enjoy the Presence. Peace, ROHO Founder, ROHO
Scripture for Meditation
Isaiah 7:14 (KJV) — "Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel."
Immanuel means "God with us"—not God in heaven watching from a distance, but God present in your actual circumstances. When you feel abandoned or alone in your struggle, remember that the very name of Jesus declares His commitment to be where you are.
Matthew 28:20 (KJV) — "Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world."
Christ's promise didn't end at the manger or the resurrection. He is with you this very morning—in your kitchen, your workplace, your sickbed. The same presence that changed history is available to change your day.
Philippians 4:5-7 (KJV) — "Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand... Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God."
When anxiety tempts you to panic, stop and remember: the Lord is at hand. Your breakthrough isn't coming—it's already here, wrapped in grace and standing in your manger moment.
Walking It Out
Name one "manger moment" in your life right now—a messy, unpolished situation where you feel God is absent. Write it down. Then, beside it, write the name of Jesus that applies: Prince of Peace, Bread of Life, Great Physician, or another name that speaks to that need. Speak it aloud.
Look for evidence of His presence today. Before you complain about what's missing, intentionally identify three things Christ has already provided—a meal, a friend's text, a safe place to sleep, breath in your lungs. Thank Him specifically for each one.
Refuse the "wait-and-see" posture. Stop postponing your peace until circumstances improve. Make one decision today as if Jesus is in the room—because He is. Trust His presence over your circumstances.
A Prayer for You
Father, this morning I choose to believe that Emmanuel is not just a historical event but a present reality in my life. I stop looking only at what's wrong and open my eyes to see the Christ who stands beside me in this very moment. Whatever I'm facing—whether it's chaos, scarcity, or sickness—I invite You to transform it into a monument of Your mercy. Give me the grace to trust Your presence more than I trust my problems, and help me walk today as if the King of Kings is already in the room. In Jesus' name, Amen.
