"Become Comfortable Perfecting Your Gifts In Secret, and God Will Reward You In Public" - Powerful Daily Devotional
The more I read your testimonies or talk with several of you over the phone, I can tell God has been preparing you for something special. There is an outpouring of purpose that you will receive in this season like never before and one of the most important things you have to do right now is to KEEP MOVING FORWARD.
In the Bible there is a period called the "year of jubilee." This was a period in which all debts were forgiven, prisoners would be set free and personal feuds were laid to rest. The most powerful effect of this season we have gone through is that we have been forced to deal with ourselves. For the first time in a long time, We have no excuse, we have to look at ourselves in the mirror and say, "IS THIS HOW I WANT TO LIVE?" As you ask yourself this question I cannot help but wonder if in some mystic way, this pandemic is a kind of Jubilee moment, where we can reset our values, reset our goals and even reset our relationship with God.
I encourage you to forgive yourself. God already has. I encourage you to stop being so hard on yourself. That mistake that you made 10 years ago, is OVER. It has no power over you. It has no claims on your personhood. LET IT GO! IN the name of JESUS.
Here is a prayer to help you keep moving forward.
Dear God, You have called me to do great and wonderful things. I come before you today with great expectations for all you shall reveal through me. As I wait on you God, I pray that will help me to keep my thoughts and intentions on what lies ahead and not in what lies behind. GOD PLEASE HELP ME TO FORGIVE MYSELF. You are speaking to me and I pray in the name of Jesus that I will have the courage to listen to you. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.

Scripture for Meditation
Matthew 6:4 — "That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly." (KJV) Beloved, the work you do in the hidden place—those hours perfecting your craft when no one is watching, those prayers whispered in darkness, those tears shed in solitude—your Father sees every drop. He is keeping account, and His public vindication will be worth every season of obscurity.
Psalm 37:23-24 — "The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand." (KJV) Family, this is your assurance. God is not just watching your progress; He is ordering your very footsteps. That stumble from ten years ago? He caught you then, and He is still holding you now.
1 Peter 1:7 — "That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ." (KJV) Your present season of refinement is not punishment—it is preparation. God is burning away the impurities so that when He brings you forth, you will shine with undeniable glory.
Walking It Out
1. Identify one gift God has placed in you and commit to perfecting it in private this week. Whether it is singing, writing, teaching, mentoring, or building—invest two focused hours with no audience, no social media documentation, no seeking approval. Let your motivation be excellence unto God alone.
2. Write down three lies you have believed about yourself or your past, then physically destroy that list. Tear it, burn it, throw it away. Speak aloud: "This has no power over me. I am forgiven. I am moving forward." This is your personal jubilee declaration.
3. Reach out to one person who knows your gifts and tell them you are recommitting to growth in that area. Accountability creates momentum. Ask them to check in with you in thirty days, not to judge you, but to celebrate your faithfulness in the secret place.
A Prayer for You
Father God, I thank You for seeing me in the secret place, for counting every tear, every prayer, every hour I have invested in becoming who You called me to be. I release the shame of my yesterday and the fear of my tomorrow, and I plant my feet firmly in Your purpose for today. Refine me in the hidden place, I pray—let my greatest work be done when no one is applauding—so that when You bring me forth, my life becomes a testimony to Your faithfulness and power. In Jesus' name, Amen.
