A Love That Never Fails
Happy Valentine’s Day! While the world is focused on flowers and candy today, I want to remind you of a Love that doesn't come in a box or fade with time.
I know that for some of you, today can feel a bit lonely. Maybe you’re mourning a loss, or maybe you’re still waiting for that "special someone" God promised. But I want to tell you from my own heart: You are the Apple of God’s Eye. Before anyone else ever whispered your name, God was already head-over-heels in love with you.
I’ve seen people look for validation in all the wrong places, only to end up more broken than before. But when you realize that the Creator of the Universe is personally invested in your happiness, it changes how you walk. His love isn't based on your performance; it’s based on His character. Whether you are celebrating with a spouse today or spending it in quiet reflection, know this: You are cherished, you are seen, and you are deeply loved by the King.
** 4 Scriptures on God’s Relentless Love 1. Jeremiah 31:3: "The LORD appeared to him from afar, saying, 'I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness.'" 2. Romans 8:38-39: "For I am convinced that neither death, nor life... nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." 3. 1 John 4:19: "We love, because He first loved us." 4. Zephaniah 3:17: "The LORD your God is in your midst... He will exult over you with joy, He will be quiet in His love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy."
P.S. No matter what your plans are today, take five minutes to just sit in His presence and say, "Thank You for loving me." It will change your entire perspective.
Scripture for Meditation
Ephesians 3:17-19 — "That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God." Family, Paul is praying that you would feel God's love in your bones, not just understand it in your head. When you are rooted in His love, every other relationship finds its proper place and proportion.
Song of Solomon 2:4 — "He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love." This love language from Scripture tells us that God doesn't just tolerate you—He celebrates you. He spreads His banner of protection and delight over your life, beloved. You are not a duty to Him; you are His delight.
Psalm 27:10 — "When my father and mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up." Whatever abandonment you've felt in this life, God promises to be the Father who never leaves. His love doesn't depend on your circumstances or on others' faithfulness—it is anchored in His eternal nature.
Walking It Out
Speak it aloud today. Don't just read these words—declare them over yourself. Say, "I am loved by God with an everlasting love," and let your ears hear what your heart needs to receive. Speak it while looking in the mirror if you must. God's Word is powerful when it crosses your lips.
Write a love letter from God to yourself. Spend 10 minutes journaling what you believe God wants to say to your heart today. Use Scripture as your foundation. This practice rewires your mind from rejection to acceptance, from worthlessness to belovedness.
Reach out to someone who feels unseen today. Text, call, or visit someone you know is lonely this Valentine's season. Show them the tangible love of Christ by your presence and words. Your action becomes a sermon that their heart can hear.
A Prayer for You
Father God, I come before You today declaring that I believe Your Word over every lie the enemy has whispered into my ear. You have loved me with an everlasting love, and today I choose to receive that love as my inheritance, my anchor, my home. Heal every wound from broken relationships and unmet expectations, and help me understand that my worth is not determined by who loves me on earth, but by the One who loved me enough to shed His blood for me. Let me walk in the confidence that comes from being cherished by the King, and let that love overflow through me to a hurting world. In Jesus' name, Amen.
