5 scriptures to help realign your purpose
They say that "what consumes your mind controls your life." The truth is, you eventually become what you think about.
As we stand just 24 hours away from the start of Lent, I have to ask you a hard question: Are you looking to God, or are you just praying to Him while your mind is racing through your to-do list?
I’ve struggled with this myself. Even out on the farm in JA, I can be physically tilling the soil, but my mind is miles away in the city. You cannot serve God while your heart and your mind are consumed with everything else. Sometimes, the most spiritual thing you can do is sit in total silence until the noise of the world fades and your heart finally aligns with His. You have to wait for His presence and just say: "God, I just want You. God, I need You!"
Many of us are being weighed down by the trials of life this morning. But if you would just focus on the size of your God instead of the size of your giant, you’d realize these trials are small in comparison to His power. When we aren't still, the noise of our problems becomes deafening.
Today is our final day of "prep." Get alone with the Lord. Be still. Allow Him to calm the fears and worries before the journey begins tomorrow.
