"I Hope You Dance"--Overcoming Adversity With the Full Faith That God is On Your Side

Share

This week I spoke to a young woman who called to express her gratitude for the Daily ROHO emails. She told me about her 2 young children, and how she is trying to raise them in a loving Godly house. She said, "what I love about ROHO is that the messages are so timely and relevant. It reminds me that no matter what I'm going through, God has it". Those 3 three words stuck with me, because they capture the truth of our faith, that ye though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil... It does not matter what you are going through today, God Has It. Financial problems--God has it. Wayward Children--God has it. Relationship Burdens--God has it. Sickness and health challenges--God has it.

The Word of God says, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7)

God is working in the background of your life fixing the broken places, mending the wounds. I am sending you a song I want you to listen to. It's titled "After This". I know it seems as though we have been stuck in place but I want to remind you that there will be Glory After This!

Scripture for Meditation

Psalm 23:4 — "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me." Beloved, notice the psalmist does not say the valley disappears—it says we walk *through* it. God's presence is not about removing your struggle; it's about walking beside you until you emerge on the other side, strengthened and refined.

Philippians 4:6-7 — "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and your minds through Christ Jesus." Family, anxiety is replaced not by the removal of problems, but by the peace that comes when you release those problems into God's hands through prayer. That peace becomes a guard—a fortress—around your heart.

Romans 8:28 — "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." God is not merely watching your pain from heaven—He is actively working behind the scenes, weaving every thread of your struggle into a tapestry of purpose and redemption.

Walking It Out

Name one burden you're carrying today and speak it aloud to the Lord right now. Don't hold it in silence. Write it down if you must. Acknowledge it before God, and then say these words: "God has it."

Pray with thanksgiving before your petition. Before you ask God to fix what's broken, thank Him for three specific things He has already done in your life. This shifts your heart from anxiety to faith and reminds you of His faithfulness.

Share this word with someone in your circle who is struggling. Text, call, or speak to someone you know who needs to hear that God has their situation under control. Your testimony becomes their strength.

A Prayer for You

Father, I come to You today laying down every worry, every sleepless night, every fear about my children, my relationships, my finances, and my health. I thank You that You are not surprised by any of this, and that You are working in the shadows where my eyes cannot see. Give me the grace to trust You completely, to dance even when the music seems far away, knowing that You have already secured my victory. Guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and help me walk through this valley with my head lifted high, knowing that glory comes after this. In Jesus' name, Amen.
